This information, exclusively obtained by the Daily Mail, suggests threats could include assassinations, bombings, and stabbings.

Last week, the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) were poised to issue a joint alert to state and local authorities. The alert was intended to inform them of an increased threat level from Iran and outline possible attack methods while urging heightened vigilance.

However, the White House intervened, halting the release of the report to law enforcement agencies nationwide after Homeland Security officials brought it to their attention. This decision has sparked frustration within the intelligence community, who emphasized that such advisories are typically distributed without White House involvement to maintain the impartiality of intelligence communications.

“They were concerned about the optics of sending anything out,” commented a senior official from the Department of Homeland Security regarding the White House’s decision to withhold the report, which was largely prepared by the FBI.

The official further noted, “They faced significant backlash,” reflecting the degree of discontent following the decision.

The Daily Mail’s initial disclosure of the Trump administration’s actions to suppress the report has ignited widespread controversy across the United States. Reactions have poured in from various influential voices, including conservative commentator Megyn Kelly and former CIA Director John Brennan, who now provides analysis on the liberal news network MSNOW.

The White House relented days later under mounting pressure and plans to release the report later this week to law enforcement, according to a senior DHS official.

Intel officers suggest that Tehran may prioritize killing specific individuals such as US officials, regime dissidents, or Jewish community leaders instead of indiscriminate terror attacks.

‘Most of the government of Iran’s attack plots in the United States involve the potential use of firearms,’ the report reads. ‘Other assassination methods may include stabbings, vehicle rammings, bombings, poisoning, strangling, suffocation, and arson.’

The bulletin warns Iranian operatives may attempt to lure victims to other countries geographically closer to Iran.

FBI officials conclude this tactic is used to carry out kidnapping that could end in imprisonment or execution of the victims.

The FBI believes the regime prefers to use ‘radicalized individuals with a variety of ideological backgrounds …with existing US legal status or US access.’

Some of the regime’s terrorist sympathizers also ‘may lack identifiable ties to Iran.’

Law enforcement are also warned that ‘graphic imagery’ and ‘news of civilian casualties’ from the war could mobilize extremist attacks. On February 28, an American Tomahawk cruise missile struck an girls’ school in Iran killing 175 civilians, many of them children. 

The US military is the only force involved in the war with Iran that uses Tomahawk missiles.

Homeland Security’s decision to inform the White House about the terror bulletin was done against the wishes of the FBI

The report outlines to law enforcement how the Iranian government uses clandestine methods to communicate safely with their terror cells.

‘Communication practices include meeting in person, leaving cell phones turned off, using codewords, and burner phones, using end-to-end encrypted messaging apps, and sharing information via cloud accounts.’

Intel officers also determined that Iran monitors ‘social media sites, live streams, publicity, and map applications to determine target locations.’

The bulletin also informs law enforcement that Americans could face cyber-terrorism from Iran in response to Trump’s war.

Iran’s security service uses ‘spear-phishing, email spoofing, and voice cloning to gain access and information for target surveillance,’ according to the report.

Another section outlines how local law enforcement should respond and watch out for violent activity in the homeland.

The report advises officers to monitor individuals ‘posing with weapons and imagery associated with terrorism or criminal actors in photos and videos’, as well as the ‘unusual purchase of military- or law enforcement-style tactical equipment… in a manner that raises suspicion’.

Law enforcement agencies are encouraged to use the FBI’s unclassified information-sharing system, eGuardian, to report suspicious activity.

It is unclear if the law enforcement bulletin set to be released later this week will include any redactions or edits to the original report.

Iran uses a network of proxy Islamic militant groups around the globe to carry out violent attacks against Western countries, including Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Days after Trump launched his war against Tehran, a gunman opened fire at a bar in Austin, Texas, killing three people and wounding 15 others before police shot him dead. Investigators later discovered that the shooter had expressed support for the Iranian regime online before opening fire.

The new intelligence bulletin cites the Austin attack, stating ‘The FBI continues to investigate the motivations of the individual,’ and warning of similar attacks.

‘The FBI, NCTC and DHS remain concerned that radicalized individuals from a wide variety of ideological backgrounds and grievances, including those with anti-US, anti-Israel and anti-Semitic believes may react to high profile US military activity, such as the conflict with Iran, and seek to commit violence,’ the report states.

Trump launched ‘Operation Epic Fury’ two weeks ago in a joint military operation with Israel against Iran that killed the regime’s senior leadership, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The ayatollah’s death, along with the 2020 drone strike eliminating Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani, is cited in the report as directly contributing to a heightened threat of attacks from Iranian proxies on US homeland.
