Palestinian flag-waving fan who ran on Yankees field identified

The man who ran onto the field at Yankee Stadium carrying a Palestinian flag during Friday’s Subway Series game has been identified as Kelly Marcucci, a 38-year-old Long Island resident now facing multiple misdemeanor charges.

Marcucci wore a baseball jersey bearing the words “No Kings” when he sprinted onto the field in the seventh inning. Stadium security quickly brought him down as fans throughout the ballpark broke into chants of “USA! USA!”

“No Kings” has become a slogan used by many critics of President Donald Trump.

The NYPD said Saturday that Marcucci was charged with interference with a professional sporting event and trespassing after his arrest during the Yankees’ 6-4 victory over the crosstown Mets. The on-field protest took place during a game marking the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Before the game, Marcucci posted a lengthy message on Facebook criticizing figures including President Trump and podcaster Joe Rogan. He also wrote about the dangers of capitalism and repeated allegations concerning Saudi Arabia’s role in the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Our News Outlet also verified a deactivated OnlyFans account associated with Marcucci. Its profile featured a shirtless photograph, and a tattoo on the biceps visible in the image appears to match the design seen emerging from his left sleeve during Friday night’s incident in the Bronx.

“Minding my own business is one of my favorite things to do,” Marcucci wrote in his OnlyFans biography. “I’m passionate about social equality. Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere.”

He added: “Politically, I identify as a revisionist-Marxist, and the core values of this expression are very important to me.”

The biography also said he enjoyed challenging himself both mentally and physically through activities including skydiving, solo travel in Europe, yoga, Pilates, spin classes and education.

He goes on to claim he has a communications degree and added that he was pursuing a journalism degree at Stony Brook.

Marcucci also claimed to have created the OnlyFans page ‘as a joke’ to see ‘how cultural normatives have passed judgement on those who have chose (sic) to make an “OnlyFans.” And that bothered me.’

Marcucci did not immediately respond to Our News Outlet’s request for comment.

The interruption came in the seventh inning of the game, which marked a deeply emotional night for the city of New York.

The Mets and the Yankees faced each other on a night that commemorated a quarter-century since the terror attacks on the Twin Towers that took the lives of almost 3,000 people.

The Yankees hosted a touching pregame ceremony as the teams remembered the victims of the 9/11 attacks.

Before players took to the field, members of the Yankees’ 2001 team, including Derek Jeter, led the pregame tributes to the victims of the 9/11 attacks.

Jorge Posada, Paul O’Neill, Tino Martinez, Scott Brosius, Mariano Rivera and Jeter along with manager Joe Torre walked onto the field in their former pinstripe jerseys.

The pennant-winning players joined the servicemen and women, including honor guards from the NYPD, FDNY, and PAPD, who carried out the presentation of colors as a giant American flag was unfurled in the outfield.

Earlier in the afternoon, Jeter was joined by current Yankees captain Aaron Judge and pitcher Gerrit Cole as the trio laid a commemorative wreath beside the 9/11 monument in Monument Park at the ballpark.
