Fashion influencer is wrecked by fans for 'shocking' wedding dress

A Miami fashion influencer’s choice of wedding dress has caused quite a stir online, with fans expressing shock over her attire for the big day.

Chelsea Parke Kramer, aged 28 and the creator of the debated clothing line PARKE, faced critique for the scoop-necked white dress she selected for her wedding reception.

One user shared their surprise online, saying, “I am in shock I thought it was going to be way cuter!! What is this?” along with a snap of Kramer and her husband, Nick, enjoying a dance during their wedding.

The simple white dress remained fitted along her torso but had a full, princess-style gown bottom.

But the look’s critics did not see Kramer’s glamorous vision.

One commenter reacted that the dress appeared ‘too tight and too loose at the same time.’

Another commented on the design, saying, “I like it in theory but I don’t know if the drop waist is sitting where it should,” as they tried to identify the dress’s quirky fit.

Someone else agreed that the dress didn’t complement her shape well, advising she should have visited a tailor since the straps appeared “too loose” and the torso was “too tight.”

‘When is the drop waist going out of style? It’s not flattering on anyone,’ someone asserted.

Others bluntly stated the dress was ‘boring’ and ‘plain.’

‘It’s just like the Parke product…boring and irrelevant,’ one user wrote, slamming her wedding look and her brand, which she founded in 2022.

‘Eeekkkkkkk I’m SHOCKEDDD. She had so many more better potential dresses!!! She’s a petite girl but there were so many better ones she showed us,’ someone chimed in.

Kramer has shared videos of wedding dresses she ultimately decided against with her nearly 168,000 TikTok followers.

Both passed-up dresses – the ones she ‘loved but didn’t choose’ – had similar ballgown styles, with form-fitting bodices and voluminous skirts.

The same commenter also noticed how there have not been many posts from the highly anticipated matrimony.

‘Lol I noticed the same thing! She’s been building up to it, she’s only posted her getting ready fit. She’s gonna be pissed at whoever posted lol,’ another responded.

Kramer, who appeared on the Forbes 2025 30 under 30 list, shared a video of a fitted white silk slip dress with lace detailing that she wore while getting ready, although she has not yet posted photos from her actual wedding.

The conversation-sparking wedding gown even attracted attention outside of her loyal fanbase.

‘I don’t even know who this is but the dress is kinda atrocious, it’s unflattering on her,’ someone wrote.

But some viewers swooped in to defend the fashion guru.

‘I’m such a sucker for classic, I love it,’ someone wrote. ‘I’m sure “PARKE” is emblazoned somewhere though.’

‘Idk I love it. I’m so over Danielle Frankel and Vivienne Westwood,’ another supporter of the divisive ensemble agreed.

‘I’ve been to 10 weddings this summer, 5 of which (and 3 in a row!) had the bride in the Danielle Frankel Leighton dress. Yawn. This is classic and timeless. I’m a fan. She looks great.’

One user called out the critics, saying it’s not their place to judge anyone on their wedding day.

‘Unpopular opinion but it’s super annoying when people are “bored” by someone else’s wedding dress. Are you wearing it? Is it your day? Like please stfu and let folks wear what they want at their wedding,’ they wrote.

Kramer, who has caused a stir with her bold outfits in the past, came under fire earlier this year when her company was accused of purchasing clothing items for cheap overseas and then selling them with major markups.

PARKE is mostly known for its sweaters that have the brand’s name etched across them, denim tops and shorts and comfy loungewear.

Its items come at a steep price – one denim skirt, for example, costs $170, while their breezy pajama pants are a whopping $100.

Regardless, the brand has become a massive sensation since its origins. Chelsea revealed earlier in the year that the business has brought in a staggering $16 million.

Controversy ensued when one TikToker, whose online persona is Sustainable Fashion Friend, claimed the brand buys its clothing pieces from a Chinese supplier called Alibaba, reselling some items for more than 10 times the price.

At the time, a PARKE spokesperson denied the claims and refused to comment any further.
