Police say Keith Johnson, 21, is facing a murder charge. He was already facing charges in the death of 7-year-old Breon Allen earlier this year.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Authorities in Jacksonville have charged a man with the murder of a 43-year-old woman, in addition to charges related to the killing of a 7-year-old earlier in the year, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO).

Valondia Norris was fatally shot on the morning of April 22, 2024, in the parking lot of an apartment complex located in Jacksonville’s Arlington neighborhood, JSO stated. Officers arrived at the Gregory Cove Apartments on Edenfield Road around 11 a.m., where they discovered that Norris had been shot several times.

Earlier investigations implicated 21-year-old Keith Johnson in Norris’s death. Originally, he was detained for being an accessory after the fact and for tampering with evidence. However, on Saturday, officials revealed that he is now also being charged with murder.

Johnson, alongside five other individuals, was arrested earlier this year regarding the death of 7-year-old Breon Allen. In April, Johnson had entered a plea of not guilty to all charges, which included second-degree murder, conspiracy to murder, and first-degree attempted murder.

Johnson continues to be behind bars at the Duval County jail, officials say. An investigation is ongoing.
