City of Augusta issues paving, closure notice to motorists for St. Sebastian Way area

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Drivers commuting near or in the St. Sebastian Way vicinity should be mindful of specific alerts that might affect your travel time. This is due to enhancements being made to the Broad Street Infrastructure.

Traffic engineering has notified that paving will commence on the section of Broad Street closed between 15th Street and St. Sebastian Way on Tuesday, September 2nd. The paving process is anticipated to last approximately one week, with the roadway section scheduled to reopen to through traffic on Monday, September 8th, assuming the weather is favorable.

The announcement further explains that on Monday, September 8th, the complete road closure and detour will transfer to the subsequent block, specifically Broad Street between St. Sebastian Way and 13th Street. This block will be closed to all motorists, with detours in place to guide traffic around the closure.
