Country music star Blake Shelton has finally addressed the swirling rumors about a potential divorce from his wife, pop icon Gwen Stefani.

At 49, Shelton expressed his bewilderment over the speculation, which he described as an emotional whirlwind of reports.

In an interview with Country Countdown USA, Blake shared, “Starting in October, or maybe November, I began noticing these articles claiming that Gwen and I had split up.”

He elaborated, “These stories suggested we weren’t even seeing each other anymore and were going through a divorce. Then, a week later, a photo of us leaving a grocery store together surfaces, and suddenly it’s, ‘Oh, they’re back together!'”

The “Honey Bee” singer humorously added, “And if another week goes by without a grocery store sighting, it’s back to ‘They’re divorcing!'”

Shelton also discussed how the ongoing speculation has led him to become skeptical of online information, particularly due to the abundance of manipulated content involving the couple.

The singer – who tied the knot with Gwen in 2021 – said: ‘I see pictures of Gwen and I on social media that I really go, “That looks so real.”

‘But I know I don’t even own that shirt or, “Whose car is that?”

‘I don’t believe anything anymore that I see on the internet. I mean, nothing. I just don’t believe it.’

Blake and Gwen, 56, celebrated 10 years together in 2025 and he explained how the pair’s relationship ‘still feels new’.

He told People magazine: ‘It honestly does [feel like time is flying by]. Some of the things that we talk about, we’re to the point in our relationship that it’s like, “Oh, remember what happened…” and you realize, “Oh my God, that was eight years ago!”

‘It’s like, how did this happen so quickly?

’10 years is a long time [but the relationship] still feels new for me.

‘I feel like that might be the key to happiness, is that it feels just as exciting and new and happy.’

Blake teamed up with his wife on the track Hangin’ On – which featured on the album For Recreational Use Only last year – and explained how they spend ‘months’ discussing their collaborations.

He said: ‘We live together, so we walk around the house singing these songs all the time and we have months to talk about, ‘Hey, maybe you jump on that part.’

‘By the time we get to the studio, we’re normally really prepared.

‘Gwen is way more particular when it comes to a lyric. I’ve never been as much of a stickler as she is. It’s really important for her to be able to see herself in the lyric that she’s singing vs. me. I’ve sung about going to prison, and there’s never really been a debate.’

Speaking to People in 2024, Stefani dubbed it a ‘miracle’ that she was able to move on with Shelton after her devastating split from Gavin Rossdale.

‘The last four years of my life, I got engaged, then I got married and started my life over,’ she told the outlet.

‘Something that I wanted since I was a little girl is to be married and have this love that I saw my parents have and have babies.’

Stefani said her ‘dream was completely ruined’ when she ended her relationship with Rossdale after a total of 19 years together. ‘It was crushed,’ she added, ‘and I had to figure out how I was going to move forward and make a new dream.’

‘God putting Blake in my life was just that miracle,’ Stefani said.
