Hassan Whiteside’s extravagant waterfront estate in Miami Beach is once again available to buyers after a fourth deal for the property reportedly fell through since May.
The former Miami Heat center’s six-bedroom mansion is now listed at $14.8 million—a steep figure, though notably below its original $19.5 million asking price in January 2025.
Set behind gates at 528 Lakeview Court, the property delivers an impressive lineup of luxury features designed for resort-style living.
Completed in 2014, the three-level home contains 5,406 square feet of interior space across a 0.41-acre lot and includes approximately 90 feet of waterfront.
Boating enthusiasts can bypass Miami’s busy roads altogether, thanks to a 45-foot dock, three personal watercraft slips and convenient access to the open ocean.
The interior combines broad living and dining rooms with hardwood and marble flooring, bespoke cabinetry and a professional-grade kitchen fitted with Wolf and Miele appliances.
Adding an especially theatrical touch is a built-in aquarium—one more extravagant feature in a home already packed with them.
The primary bedroom opens directly onto a secluded terrace and comes with a spa-like bathroom and an expansive walk-in wardrobe.

Hassan Whiteside’s high-end Miami Beach waterfront mansion has returned to the market after going under contract for the fourth time since May

Whiteside bought the property in 2016 for $7.3 million, making today’s asking price more than twice his original purchase amount
For at-home entertainment, the mansion includes a modern theater, private gym, custom bar and rooftop lounge outfitted with a fire pit and television.
The outdoor space is equally geared toward entertaining, with a waterfall pool, summer kitchen and several gathering areas suited to sunny Florida parties.
According to the listing, the gated estate provides a secluded escape in Miami Beach’s Lakeview neighborhood, away from the area’s more crowded tourist destinations.
Even with its extensive amenities and prime waterfront setting, however, the property has struggled to reach the finish line with a buyer.
The home has reportedly entered contract four times since May, with the latest agreement representing another attempt to complete the sale.
After debuting at $19.5 million in January 2025, the mansion was later priced at $15.8 million before being reduced again to its current $14.8 million listing.
The latest figure is roughly 24 percent lower than the original asking price, and a completed transaction could bring the final amount down further through negotiations.
A weekly report issued by Douglas Elliman’s Eklund-Gomes team ranked the pending deal as the second-most expensive residential contract among 13 Miami-Dade County properties listed at $4 million or more from October 5 through October 11.

Built in 2014, the sprawling residence boasts 5,406 square feet of living space on a 0.41-acre lot, with around 90 feet of waterfront frontage
Together, those contracts represented $101.2 million in asking-price volume, down from $169.7 million across 17 deals the previous week.
The average property in the latest batch had spent 192 days on the market, suggesting even deep-pocketed buyers are taking their time before committing to luxury real estate.
Whiteside purchased the Miami Beach home in 2016 for $7.3 million, meaning the current asking price is more than double what he originally paid.
The listing was handled by Joel Lusky of The Brokerage South Florida Real Estate, LLC, and Jordan Karp of Jordan Karp, LLC.
In terms of its location, Miami Beach’s Lakeview neighborhood offers a more secluded slice of South Florida living.
With waterfront views, boating access and Miami’s beaches, restaurants and shopping within reach, it combines a private residential setting with easy access to the action.
The location may have held particular appeal for Whiteside during his years playing for the Miami Heat. Now 37, the seven-foot center spent five seasons with the team between 2014 and 2019, establishing himself as a formidable presence in the paint.
He later played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings before joining the Utah Jazz for his final NBA season in 2022.

Inside, the tri-level property features expansive living and dining areas, rich hardwood and marble floors, custom cabinetry and a chef’s kitchen equipped with high-end Wolf and Miele appliances

After stepping away from the NBA, he returned to professional basketball for the 2025–26 season with the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association.
During his NBA career, Whiteside became known for his shot-blocking and rebounding, earning a place on the league’s All-Defensive Second Team in 2016.
Now, it seems, his Miami Beach mansion is hoping for a slam dunk of its own in the property market.
For a buyer with $14.8 million to spare, the prize is a private waterfront compound with a pool, cinema, rooftop entertaining space and room to dock the toys.
Whether the fourth time proves lucky remains to be seen, as the property is still under contract rather than officially sold.
