The case has taken a serious turn with homicide detectives stepping in due to ‘concerning’ evidence discovered at her residence.
With the sad news making headlines, Guthrie’s Today show family has rallied around her, sending encouraging messages and urging the public to contribute any information that might help. Leading the supportive charge, Hoda Kotb took to social media on Monday morning, posting an evocative image of the word ‘hope.’ She left the post without further explanation, allowing the single word to carry profound weight.
In a more personal gesture, the 61-year-old co-host shared a touching photograph of Savannah Guthrie with her mother on the Today show set. Accompanied by a prayer emoji and a heart, this image served as a poignant reminder of the bond between them and a call for collective prayers and positive thoughts during this difficult time.
Since news broke, the Today show cast have been sending messages of hope and calling for others to help.

In a separate upload, the 61-year-old posted a photo of Guthrie and her mother together on the Today show alongside the prayer emoji and a love heart.
Guthrie’s co-host Craig Melvin posted an the same photo of his colleague and her mom to Instagram alongside a caption that read: ‘ Our thoughts and prayers are with Savannah and her family.

TV personality and journalist Willie Geist pleaded with his followers to contact authorities should they have any information.
Taking to his Instagram Story, Geist, 50, wrote: ‘If you have any information at all about the location of Savannah Guthrie’s wonderful mother Nancy… please call the Pima Sheriff in Arizona. She is missing.’
Peter Alexander, 49, who co-hosts Today on Saturdays, also shared the news to his social media account.
‘Nancy Guthrie, Savannah’s mom, reported missing in Arizona Sunday,’ he wrote alongside a screenshot of the Today show report.
Similarly, Laura Jarrett, 42, who works alongside Alexander on air at the weekend, reshared the Today show’s report on Nancy’s case.
Search efforts are ongoing throughout the Tucson area with crews using dogs, drones and even the sheriff’s department’s plane to search the Catalina Foothills neighborhood for the missing woman.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos was unable to rule out any foul play.
‘We saw some things at the home that were concerning to us,’ he told reporters at a press conference held on Monday morning.

‘We do in fact have a crime scene and we do in fact have a crime.’
He also said that Nancy is of great ‘sound mind’ and described her as ‘sharp as a tack.’
‘The family wants everyone to know this isn’t someone who hasn’t wondered off,’ he added.
Nancy is described as five-foot-five inches, weighing about 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
It is unclear what she may have been wearing at the time of her disappearance.
She is considered a ‘vulnerable adult’ mostly due to her age and physical mobility issues, deputies said, noting that she does not have any cognitive issues.
