Gerda Weissmann Klein wrote about her experiences in a book, “All But My Life,” which was published in 1957. Forty years later, Bill Clinton appointed her to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Council. In 2010, she was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
