A woman driving a Tesla was apprehended after allegedly firing an assault rifle at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills residence, authorities revealed. The arrest was facilitated due to the car’s notably dirty condition.

The 30-year-old suspect was detained after reportedly discharging several rounds at the home shared by the 38-year-old pop icon and her partner, A$AP Rocky, on Sunday. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

The Los Angeles Police Department stated that the suspect fired multiple shots from her vehicle while Rihanna was present inside the house. Thankfully, no one was harmed.

According to radio dispatch recordings accessed by the LA Times, witnesses reported hearing at least ten shots emanating from a white Tesla before the suspect sped away.

Police began their search for the vehicle, sharing details over the radio. Descriptions of the suspect included her braided hairstyle and cream-colored blouse. Additionally, the vehicle was noted for its unclean state, which ultimately led to its discovery by a police helicopter in a Sherman Oaks parking lot, resulting in the woman’s arrest.

Her vehicle was also described as being dirty on the bottom, with a police helicopter soon catching sight of it in a Sherman Oaks parking lot where she was arrested.

A source close to the couple told The New York Post that the two ‘don’t know much’ and were left in the dark as to what happened. 

The same source confirmed that Rocky was not at home at the time of the shooting, the couple share three children, RZA, three, Riot, two, and Rocki, five months.

The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division is investigating the incident, police confirmed. 

A possible motive was not immediately clear, officials said that a statement providing more information on the woman would be released on Monday.

The Fenty Beauty founder purchased the stunning home, featuring an open-air courtyard and pool, just across the street from Sir Paul McCartney in 2021.

The five-bedroom, seven-bathrooms home is located in a secluded cul-de-sac on a sprawling 21,958-square-foot lot, that was originally built in the 1930s.

The property offers complete privacy from the street with its tall hedges.

Other neighbors on the same quiet street include Mariah Carey, who has been leasing a property a few doors down for years as well as Madonna. 

In 2024, Rihanna and her boyfriend offered a look inside their home.

Behind the front door was a family-friendly paradise, decorated with hundreds of toys and sweet family portraits.

A$AP – real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers – showed off the furnishings in a sweet birthday post for Riot which included pictures of the toddler in his playroom.

In snaps from another room, Rocky was seen holding Riot in front of a marble counter that was adorned with snacks and baby products.

Behind was an adorable black and white snap of Rihanna and A$AP cozied up as well as a bright orange and red painting of the pair.

A magnet board was also on display with the words Riot, RZA, apples and boy spelled out in colorful letters.

In 2021, it was reported that Rihanna was renting out the property for an eye-watering $80,000 per month after purchasing the home next door for $10 million.

Last Sunday the couple looked in good spirits as they enjoyed a date night at The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles.

The A-list pair coordinated in cool black leather jackets and sunglasses as they spent quality time together during a low-key night.

However, it’s since been reported that she moved back into the mansion with her brood.

The couple have been at the center of marriage speculation this past year, fueled by her referring to him as her ‘loving husband’ and him describing her as his ‘wife’.

The two were friends for more than a decade before they started dating in 2020, following Rihanna’s split from her ex-boyfriend Hassan Jameel.

Two years after getting together, the couple welcomed their first son RZA in May 2022.

Rihanna famously announced her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl Halftime Show in February 2023, where she debuted her baby bump. She gave birth to their second son, Riot Rose, in August of that year.

The star publicly confirmed she was expecting her third child as she showed off her bump at the Met Gala in May 2025, before giving birth to daughter Rocki Irish in September.
