Good news, “Gumball” fans! Your favorite cartoon cat is back and headed to Hulu.

“The Amazing World of Gumball” is now “The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball.”

In its official description, Hulu invites viewers back to Elmore, a place where the norms of reality are turned upside down, and family dynamics are far from typical. Gumball Watterson takes on challenges such as battling a malevolent fast-food chain, confronting a lovestruck artificial intelligence infatuated with his mom, and preventing Banana Joe from donning trousers. He ropes in his brother Darwin, sister Anais, and the entire town of Elmore into his adventures. With storylines that are even more outlandish, unexpected turns, and its signature whimsical humor, the show is so exceptional that a name change was deemed necessary!

Hulu released a teaser for the series, re-introducing the world to Gumball.. and Gumball to the world!

In the above teaser, Gumball is seen retrieving to consciousness as his alarm rings. Eclipsed in dust, he spots Darwin and exclaims, “Aw dude, we’re late for school!” Just how tardy are they? Darwin informs him, “About seven years.”

This will be season seven of the wildly popular series. It’ll debut on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ later this year.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Hulu, Disney+ and this ABC station.
