Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are preparing to part ways with their stunning Los Angeles residence, which has been their home for over ten years.
The 49-year-old actress, famous for her role in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and the 50-year-old actor known for She’s All That, have put their Brentwood property on the market with an asking price of $10.5 million.
Cindy Ambuehl from Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California is overseeing the sale. She has been acquainted with the couple for over 25 years.
In a conversation with the Daily Mail, Ambuehl shared insights into the allure of the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home that is perfect for families.
“Nestled in the exclusive Mandeville Canyon area, this property offers incredible privacy,” she noted. “Surrounded by sycamores and oak trees, the streets are beautifully lined with greenery. The house exudes warmth, featuring spacious rooms ideal for family life and entertaining.”
The expansive rooms are distributed across 7,300 square feet in this three-story abode.

Cindy Ambuehl of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California – who has known the celebrity couple for more than 25 years – is handling the listing. She spoke with the Daily Mail about what makes their family-friendly home so appealing
Ambuehl emphasized that even though Gellar and Prinze’s home ‘feels peaceful and tucked away,’ the Brentwood location is a gateway to communities including Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades, and it’s also conveniently located near several ‘top schools, restaurants, shops and all the conveniences of the Westside.’
The couple, who have already moved into a home in Encino after acquiring it off-market early last year for $12.4 million – per Robb Report – moved into their Brentwood home in 2013.
Prior to listing it, Gellar and Prinze had rented out the property for $60,000 per month, but their realtor clarified that their home was ‘never intended as a long-term rental.’
Instead, the couple was helping out a family who had lost their home in the devastating LA fires of January 2025.
Ambuehl said Gellar and Prinze had ‘special memories’ of their Brentwood home, as it’s where they raised their daughter Charlotte, 16, and son Rocky, 13.
The realtor went on to praise the stars as an ‘exceptional couple and truly remarkable parents.’
‘Their children are incredibly respectful, thoughtful, and grounded — a reflection of the values Sarah and Freddie instilled in them. They’re down-to-earth, kind, and always put family first, which is very refreshing,’ she said.
Prior to their last move, the couple had been living in Bel Air.
