Ivanka Trump looked elegant in an all-black ensemble as she spent New Year’s day on a Miami beach playing football with her children.
The former president’s daughter, 40, donned a black wrap dress accessorized with a headband, statement necklace and dark shades as she enjoyed her day in the sun.
She finished off her look with a delicate bracelet and red string she often wears on her left wrist. Although she hasn’t spoken about the purpose of the string bracelet, it does bear a resemblance to the type of red string that Kabbalah practitioners wear to ward off the ‘evil eye’.
Ivanka was spotted smiling as she threw a football around with her children.
Her son Joseph Frederick Kushner, eight, was pictured in patterned swim trunks and a blue long-sleeved swim shirt as he ran around and jumped up to catch the football his mother was throwing to him.
It didn’t appear as though Ivanka’s other children – her 10-year-old daughter Arabella Rose Kushner or five-year-old son Theodore James Kushner, five – participated in the game of catch.

The night before, Ivanka’s parents Donald and Melania Trump attended a lavish New Year’s Eve party in Mar-a-Lago, where guests pay up to $1,000 per ticket.
Trump was in a tuxedo, with wife Melania in a white gown with sequined details on the sleeves.
Several other Trumpworld favorites were in attendance, including former New York City Mayor and attorney for Trump Rudy Giuliani, Congressman Matt Gaetz – who attended with his new wife Ginger Luckey despite his ongoing sex trafficking investigation – and son Eric, who was with wife Lara and their children.
The New Year’s Eve gala came as Florida, like most areas of the country, saw a massive spike in Covid cases as the highly-transmissible Omicron variant gathered steam.

In the past seven days, the state has added 26,537 cases per day on average, according to Miami Herald calculations of CDC data. That rolling seven-day case average is the highest it’s been since August 23, when there were 29,334 cases.
On Wednesday, Dr Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases – who Trump clashed with during the Covid pandemic – recommended against large New Year’s Eve gatherings.
‘If your plans are to go to a 40-to-50 person New Year’s Eve party with all the bells and whistles and everybody hugging and kissing and wishing each other a Happy New Year? I would strongly recommend that, this year, we do not do that,’ Fauci said.
Meanwhile, the Trumps and Kushners celebrated in the main ballroom of their exclusive Mar-a-Lago resort which, with its white paneling and gold-plated décor, can hold 700 people. There are also are smaller ballrooms available to add to the crowd size.

The former First Family did not attend the celebration to ring in 2021 and instead – in an unusual move – returned to Washington, DC, on December 31.
They returned to the White House where Trump focused on the upcoming certification of Joe Biden’s election victory in Congress, which took place on January 6th after the Capitol was cleared of MAGA supporters who stormed the building in an attempt to disrupt the process.
Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner at the private Mar-a-Lago resort with the Trumps. The two couples sat alone at a table in the private club’s main ballroom.
But unlike when Trump was president, the table was not roped off from the rest of the guests.
Photos and video posted to social media showed the ballroom crowded with guests for the holiday without a face mask in sight.
Florida recommends but does not require face masks for the general public.
The Trumps were also captured getting a standing ovation as they walked through the ballroom to the table where Jared and Ivanka waited for them.
Both Melania and Ivanka wore white dresses for the festive occasion. Melania wore the same $7,450 Elie Saab dress she wore to a July 2018 NATO meeting in Belgium.
In a tradition that predates Trump’s presidency, he and Melania spend the cold weather months at his Palm Beach club with its Atlantic Ocean views.
