Severe weather has once again forced disruption at a major sporting event.
Supporters attending the Tunisia vs Netherlands match at Kansas City Stadium have been instructed to leave exposed seating areas and take shelter inside the venue.
Forecasters had warned that severe storms moving through Kansas City could bring dangerous conditions, including damaging winds, hail, heavy downpours and the possibility of isolated tornadoes across parts of the Plains.
Those concerns were soon realized as intense storms swept into the area, with footage from the scene showing harsh conditions around the stadium.

Not long after the weather deteriorated, officials at Kansas City Stadium — more commonly known as Arrowhead Stadium — issued an alert advising fans to seek cover immediately.
“Fans at Kansas City Stadium are being instructed to move indoors and seek shelter in concourses or other covered areas, following guidance from stadium staff,” the notice stated.
Any potential delay to the match has not yet been confirmed. Further updates are expected as stadium officials and weather authorities continue to monitor the situation.
