President Joe Biden said Tuesday that he has made a decision on how to respond to the drone attack that killed three U.S. soldiers and injured dozens of others at a base in northeast Jordan.

As he departed the White House on Tuesday morning, Biden was asked by a reporter if he had made a decision in response to the drone attack. Biden replied, “Yes.”

Biden’s remarks came after he vowed to retaliate and “hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner [of] our choosing”  for the fatal drone attack by Iran-backed militants on Sunday.

When asked if he holds Iran responsible for the attack, the president said he does “in the sense that they’re supplying the weapons to the people who did it.”

The attack was the first U.S. deaths by Iranian-back militant groups in months since the Israel-Hamas war began Oct. 7. It happened at a logistics support base in northeast Jordan, with the drone having made impact near a shelter where some troops slept, two U.S. officials told NBC News. Eight of the injured personnel were evacuated from the country to receive higher-level care and are stable, U.S. Central Command said Sunday.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
