Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi says doctors found 'cancerous cells' in her cervix

Snooki Reveals Cervical Cancer Scare as Doctors Detect Cancerous Cells: A Wake-Up Call for Women's Health

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is urging her followers to prioritize their health by undergoing regular cervical cancer screenings, following the discovery of “cancerous cells” in her own cervix.

WASHINGTON — Reality TV star Nicole Polizzi, famously known as “Snooki” from Jersey Shore, revealed that doctors have identified “cancerous cells” in her cervix, prompting her to undergo further medical evaluations.

At 38, Polizzi shared in a TikTok video posted on January 20, that she has experienced abnormal pap smear results over the past few years. Her medical team had detected precancerous cells during screenings conducted over the last four years.

Following more detailed examinations, including a biopsy and colposcopy—which she described as “uncomfortable”—her doctor informed her of the presence of cancerous cells at the top of her cervix.

Recalling the conversation with her doctor, Polizzi said, “Doctor calls me and he’s like, ‘Not looking great,'” in the nearly 10-minute video.

As a mother of three, she strongly encouraged her audience to stay vigilant with their health by keeping up with necessary screenings and not neglecting important medical tests.

“I’m terrified. It’s scary,” she said. “We have to get it done because cervical cancer is nothing to joke about and I obviously don’t want to get this.”

“Being a woman is not easy and this is definitely a scary thing,” she said. “I know I’m gonna be fine, but it’s just scary to have to do all this stuff.”

Polizzi started to tear up when explaining the possibilities of treatment, which include having a hysterectomy, or a surgery to remove the uterus, depending on the next test results.

“I’m done having kids but, as a woman, the thought of getting a hysterectomy is just sad and it’s scary,” she said. “Getting the hysterectomy and then not being able to have kids, I think that’s what’s killing me.”

She said if it comes to it, she would get the surgery done to keep her “healthy and safe to be here for my kids that I have now.”

She encouraged women going through similar health scares to share their stories in the comments to find a community that can support each other.

People took to the comments to offer their support and share their stories.

“Nicole, wish I could hug you through the phone 🫶🏼 thank you for sharing and I’m sending you much love and prayers 🙏🏼 ♥️,” TV personality Lauren Sorrentino, from “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” and “The Sorrentinos,” commented.

A fan shared her own story about getting a hysterectomy, calling it “the best thing I ever did.”

“I got energy back I didn’t know I had, lost weight, and feel like a new woman,” she wrote in a comment Polizzi liked. “Put it in God’s hands. He knows what’s best!”
