Joe Rogan floats bold back up plan for Spencer Pratt if he loses LA mayoral election

Podcast host Joe Rogan has suggested that if Spencer Pratt’s political ambitions don’t pan out in Los Angeles, he should consider running for office in Austin.

During a podcast episode featuring comedian Tom Segura, Rogan remarked, “Maybe we get Spencer Pratt, if he loses in LA, to run for mayor of Austin.”

Segura chimed in supportively, adding, “We could use you.”

Both Rogan and Segura have roots in Los Angeles but have since relocated to Texas. Segura shared that he sold his home in Altadena just before devastating fires swept through the area, describing the scene as resembling the aftermath of a bomb explosion.

“It was really crazy. Oh, glad we moved, too,” Rogan agreed. Segura also expressed optimism about Pratt’s chances, citing a sense of urgency among Los Angeles residents.

“I think if you put together a campaign that gets some excitement, people talking, you have a chance in L.A.,” Segura noted. “The people there are — they’re desperate.”

“They’re desperate, and also, they live for entertainment. So entertain them a little. He’s entertaining as s–t.”

Pratt is a former reality TV star best known for the unscripted show “The Hills.” The podcast also compared him to Donald Trump, who was also a reality TV star himself.

A recent Emerson College poll shows Pratt running a competitive campaign against incumbent Karen Bass.

The race has been heavily shaped by viral, fan-generated AI videos portraying Pratt as a superhero saving the city from political villains.

Bass is polling at 30%, while Spencer Pratt is in second place with 22% support. Nithya Raman trails at 19%, with 16% of voters still undecided.
