Kanye West is distancing himself from former associate and “publicist” Milo Yiannopoulos after the controversial British commentator was unexpectedly deported last week, Our News Outlet has exclusively learned.
“He does not want to be involved with Milo anymore,” a source told us, adding that West “asked Milo to move out of one of his properties” and has not been working with him.
Yiannopoulos, a right-wing influencer from the UK, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers on Thursday at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
West, 49, was due to appear at a major show at the Caesars Superdome the next day, but insiders say the rapper “has no idea why Milo was coming to the concert.”
According to Our News Outlet’s source, trust in Yiannopoulos inside Ye’s inner circle had been eroding for some time. “Milo has not been trusted within Ye’s orbit for a long time and has only caused issues,” the insider said. “Ye had been warned about Milo many times.”
Yiannopoulos, who previously fielded media inquiries for West and at one point served as his chief of staff, allegedly misled both the rapper and members of his team about his immigration situation.

“Milo told everyone in Ye’s orbit that he had a visa and was in the process of getting married and becoming a US citizen,” the source claimed. “Everyone was shocked to find out he, in fact, did not have a visa.”
Yiannopoulos rose to prominence as an editor for the American far-right news website Breitbart, where he caused a stir due to his controversial views.
At the time, he reportedly claimed he was in the US on an O-1 nonimmigrant visa, which is granted to those with an ‘extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics’ but require sponsorship via an agent or employer, according to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.
However, in 2017, Yiannopoulos resigned from Breitbart after the conservative news outlet The Reagan Battalion shared videos online that appeared to show he condoned statutory rape and sexual relationships between boys and men. Yiannopoulos blamed the outlet’s ‘deceptive editing’ and his ‘sloppy phrasing’ for the interpretation.
That same year, Yiannopoulos married his longtime boyfriend at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii. He kept his spouse, ‘John,’ away from the public eye so the latter’s nationality is unknown.
By March 2021, Yiannopoulos told the right-wing publication LifeSiteNews that he was no longer a homosexual and his husband had been demoted to ‘housemate.’
Whether Yiannopoulos was actually married or had an O-1 nonimmigrant visa remains unclear. And another facet of the polarizing figure’s life may have also been a facade, according to our insider.
‘Milo was never Ye’s official PR team,’ the source claimed.
‘Ye does not have any single PR team, he will speak for himself or give people permission to speak when needed. It was a title that Milo gave himself.’

Yiannopoulos began working with West sometime in 2022 when the Yeezy founder expressed a desire to run for the US presidency in 2024.
Aside from loosely handling some public relations requests, we’re told Yiannopoulos was also ‘in charge’ of helping get visas for international artists and models for West’s fashion brand.
This important role has reportedly now left West with major concerns in light of Yiannopoulos’s deportation.
‘Ye is having a team go through all the work that Milo did to make sure it was all legal because Ye and the team currently cannot trust his work if he himself didn’t have a visa,’ the source said.
In an official statement obtained by Our News Outlet, ICE said Yiannopoulos, 41, ‘overstayed his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws,’ noting he was ‘issued a final order of removal by an Immigration Judge on July 22, after failing to show up for his immigration hearing.’
‘DHS reversed the horrendous Biden-era policy that allowed aliens in our country illegally to jet around our country,’ the statement further read.
‘Under President Trump, DHS will no longer tolerate this. This administration is working diligently to ensure that aliens in our country illegally can no longer fly unless it is out of our country to self-deport.’ Yiannopoulos is now in the United Kingdom.
West – who has historically had a friendly relationship with President Trump – will ‘absolutely not’ advocate on Yiannopoulos’s behalf to the president, we’re told.
‘Ye does not want to get involved,’ Our News Outlet’s source said. ‘And he does not plan on speaking with anyone about Milo.’

Ironically, Yiannopoulos once shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he aligned with Trump’s strict immigration laws.
He wrote in June, ‘There is one concrete thing we must insist on this administration delivering. It matters a lot more than debts measured in imaginary money.
‘We have got to deport millions and millions and millions of people. Without that, nothing else matters.’
