Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly split after nine years together.

The couple has ended their relationship after weeks of increasing tension, following nearly ten years of an on-and-off connection, six years of engagement, and sharing a child.

This announcement comes soon after the 40-year-old pop singer’s space trip, which sparked a wave of criticism due to viral videos mocking her world tour and her lackluster album 143.

Representatives for Perry and Bloom didn’t respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

‘Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,’ a source told Us Weekly, adding that the break-up was so far ‘not contentious.’

‘Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life,’ they said.

The source described the alleged split as ‘a long time coming’ and claimed their relations ‘have been tense for months.’

For now, Katy is reportedly staying ‘distracted’ with her tour and caring for her and Orlando’s four-year-old daughter Daisy, who was seen joining her while the 48-year-old English actor was elsewhere. 

On Monday, DailyMail.com reported that Katy and Orlando were renting out their $30 million mansion in Montecito, California, to Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, which only intensified rumors of a breakup.

‘Her and Orlando have always lived in their other Montecito home as their primary residence,’ Us Weekly’s source said.

They said the allegedly split couple had intended to establish the rented mansion as ‘their family home’ before the situation changed.

They added that Katy and Orlando have ‘been living apart since Katy has been on tour.’ 

Katy had been spotted multiple times with her daughter Daisy while touring in Australia this month, and Orlando has made several solo public appearances, including stops at the Tribeca festival and an appearance to celebrate the launch of a cruise ship with Drew Barrymore.

This news follows reports that Bloom will attend Jeff Bezos’ wedding to Lauren Sanchez sans his fiancée Perry on his arm. He’s said to intend to make his debut as a ‘single man’ at his billionaire buddy’s nuptials, according to TMZ.

Meanwhile, Perry will miss the wedding due to her ongoing Lifetimes tour in Australia.

The pair have been in an on–off relationship since 2016 and are parents to one child together, their four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, who was born in August 2020.

The couple have seen ups and downs after over a decade together.

During their on-and-off relationship, the pair have made bizarre headlines together for dance-offs, dressing up as their older selves to work on a short film together and unconventional dates including nude beach romps.

Perry and Bloom were first romantically linked after they attended multiple Golden Globes afterparties together in January 2016.

Fellow partygoers reported witnessing their chemistry as they had a ‘total dance-off,’ according to Us Weekly.

That same month, the pair enjoyed a theatre date when they saw a production of The Absolute Brightness Of Leonard Pelkey in Culver City, California, and met up with the stars backstage.

The singer’s seventh studio album was released in September 2024 and received a largely negative response from fans and critics alike, who claimed the record sounds as if it was ‘generated through AI.’
