Kristin Cavallari makes her children fly coach while she's first class

Kristin Cavallari has shared that, on family flights, her three children travel in coach while she books herself a seat in first class.

‘They are growing up in a very fortunate situation and I want them to know this is my money. This is not your money,’ the 39-year-old mother told Aspire with Emma Grede on Tuesday.

‘And you know, something as small as they fly coach [while] I’m flying in first class. That was important to me when they became old enough.’

After Grede suggested it might be hard not to sit with her children during a flight, Cavallari pushed back, saying: ‘No it’s not, when they’re older! I’m all, ‘Bye bye, guys! Have fun back there!”

The Uncommon James founder, who is reportedly worth $30 million, noted that when her children were younger — Camden, 13, Jaxon, 12, and Saylor, 10 — she did sit alongside them on flights.

‘I’d be like, ‘Please don’t fight. Please don’t fight.’ Like, who knows what’s going to happen back there,’ Cavallari said, reflecting on those earlier trips.

‘But now, they’ll be fine. Yeah, and it’s good for them. And I think it’s little things like that as a parent that make ultimately I think a big difference in the long run.’

And the Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour star isn’t alone in her parenting style.

On May 13, Nick Lachey told Watch What Happens Live that when he had an awkward run-in with his ex-wife Jessica Simpson on a March 29 flight from LA to Kauai, her three children aged under 14 were seated ‘in a separate class.’

‘My kids don’t just get whatever they want. And if they want something, they have to work for it,’ Cavallari said.

‘Last summer, both of my boys created their own little businesses. So, one of my boys was washing windows, people’s windows, and the other one was washing people’s garbage cans because if they want something, they got to go work for it and they got to make it happen.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to Cavallari’s rep for comment, but did not immediately hear back.

The Let’s Be Honest podcaster claimed she receives ‘no money’ from her ex-husband Jay Cutler, who has custody of their kids ‘every other weekend’ following the 2020 end of their seven-year marriage, which finalized in 2022.

When Grede replied that it must be difficult not to support her children during flights, Cavallari shot back: 'No it's not, when they're older! I'm all, "Bye bye, guys! Have fun back there!"' (pictured March 15)

The 43-year-old retired NFL quarterback – who’s engaged to fiancée Samantha Robertson – made headlines last August for cutting a plea deal stemming from his 2024 DUI and gun possession arrest.

Cutler’s BAC was three times the legal limit, so his Tennessee license was suspended for 12 months.

The Gratis Beer founder spent two days in jail and was sentenced to a year of supervised probation and a $350 fine.

Cavallari first found fame on two MTV reality shows Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (2004)-2006) and The Hills (2009-2010).
