New York Yankees icon John Sterling dead at 87

John Sterling, the beloved former announcer for the New York Yankees, has passed away at the age of 87. This somber news marks the end of an era for fans who have cherished his voice for decades.

The station expressed their sorrow in a heartfelt message on social media, stating, “We are devastated to hear about the passing of John Sterling, a WFAN and Yankees radio icon whose voice was synonymous with an entire generation of Yankee fandom.
