Leonardo DiCaprio unveiled a fresh appearance as he departed from the 79th British Academy Film Awards on Sunday night.
At 51, the actor had been in contention for his standout performance in the action-packed drama “One Battle After Another,” a film that garnered an impressive 14 nominations. Despite the accolades, DiCaprio left without claiming the iconic bronze mask.
While exiting the Royal Festival Hall at London’s Southbank Centre, he sported a pair of reading glasses, hinting at a subtle transformation.
On the glittering red carpet, DiCaprio was in the company of his co-stars, Chase Infiniti and Teyana Taylor, who were contenders for Leading Actress and Supporting Actress, respectively. However, they too left empty-handed.
Nevertheless, “One Battle After Another” achieved a significant victory, securing the top honor for Best Film.
Despite the individual losses, the film emerged as a substantial victor, clinching awards for adapted screenplay, cinematography, and editing, underscoring its cinematic excellence.

After DiCaprio lost the leading actor award to Robert Aramayo for his performance in I Swear, he appeared to be a good sport as he left in seemingly relaxed energy.
He gave a sheepish thumbs up as he made history as the actor with the most BAFTA nominations in history but lost six out of the seven total.
He previously won in 2016 for his portrayal in The Revenant.
In the past, he was previously nominated for his roles in The Aviator, The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Don’t Look Up.
DiCaprio appeared to have a soft grin on his face while looking at his phone after getting into his car.
The Oscar winner wore the same dapper, black tie look that he walked the red carpet in, but added a pair of glasses while typing on his phone.
The accessory, a rare look for the star, shielded his eyes as he jetted off from the event amid awards season.

During the BAFTAs winner’s press conference, Anderson reflected on working with DiCaprio for One Battle After Another.
The director and producer of the flick praised the actor for hard work and attention to detail.
‘I think with Leo, it’s one long run-on sentence. It’s when you start to work with him, he’s asking questions. He’s curious,’ Anderson said.
‘He wants to take the whole thing apart and put it back together again and make sure that he has covered every possibility within a scenario,’ he added about the Hollywood veteran’s continuous dedication to his craft.
