Liev Schreiber was captured swearing at and reprimanding a red-carpet reporter during the New York premiere of his new Apple TV+ series, Nocturne.
The journalist, who was also working for Apple TV, appeared to have asked a question that displeased the 59-year-old actor.
“Talk to people like you value what they do,” Schreiber snapped. “It’s not a f***ing sound bite, especially when we’re doing this in house for our own people.”
He continued: “We’re trying to make the show compelling, so engage with the person like they’re an artist or they’re an actor.”
Apparently referring to the reporter’s question, Schreiber added angrily: “Three words! Three words, like… three words isn’t gonna do anything for anybody, and the monkey that f***ing thought of that is shooting themselves in the foot.”
The journalist then looked into the camera and joked, “I hope you’re rolling on this,” prompting a chuckle from Schreiber that appeared to ease some of the tension.

Speaking more calmly, Schreiber said: “If you wanna give them something that they can use, talk to people like they’re humans, not like it’s social media.”
Following the tense exchange, Schreiber and the Apple TV reporter appeared to move on and have a cordial discussion about Nocturne.
