A 45-year-old man was slashed in the neck outside a deli in Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday evening, police said.
The violence unfolded around 8:15 p.m. near 10th Avenue and West 52nd Street in Hell’s Kitchen, where an argument between two people moved onto the sidewalk and escalated into the attack, according to the NYPD.
The injured man, whose name has not been released, was taken by EMS to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, authorities said.
Police believe the victim and the suspect had been involved in a dispute before the knife attack occurred.
After the slashing, the suspected attacker ran north on 10th Avenue, police said. He was last seen wearing a white sweater, white shorts and white sneakers.
No arrests had been reported by Tuesday night.
The Hell’s Kitchen knife attack came amid a string of recent blade-related incidents reported across New York City.
