A shocking scene unfolded on the Gold Coast, where a woman was filmed clinging to the hood of a moving car during a heated road rage altercation. This startling moment, captured on video, has stirred significant attention due to its dramatic nature.

The incident involves Natalie Alice Shaw, a 22-year-old aspiring Paralympian, who was behind the wheel of her red Audi SUV when she encountered another motorist driving in the wrong direction. This near-collision took place on a Gold Coast street last July, sparking a tense confrontation.

CCTV footage, exclusively obtained by 9News, reveals the intensity of the encounter. The video shows the other woman approaching Shaw as her vehicle is stationed in a drive-thru. The situation escalates as the woman mounts the bonnet of Shaw’s car just as it begins to move down Olsen Avenue.

She is then captured, mounting Shaw’s bonnet as her car revs into gear, moving down Olsen Ave.

“Are you going to hit me? Go on,” the unknown woman can be heard saying in the footage.

“Go on c—, go on you stupid dog.”

In 9News’ footage, Shaw recalls swerving in an attempt to get the woman off the front of her car.

“She went flying off the side of the road,” Shaw is heard saying.

“Oh my god.”

In the video, the woman eventually lets go of the vehicle after a last-ditch attempt to grasp onto the window wipers – all while the car is moving up to 60km/h.

“Slow the f— down c—,” she said.

9News reports Shaw was the one charged over the bizarre affair, receiving a six-month driving suspension for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle at Southport Magistrates Court.
