Meghan Markle has posted a new collection of “summer holiday” images featuring Prince Harry and their children, Archie and Lilibet, during a recent trip to Europe — with one photo appearing to show a stop at Princess Diana’s childhood home.
The Sussexes had been in Europe in recent weeks before Prince Harry’s return to the UK this month for the Invictus Games in Birmingham, a five-day visit he had originally hoped would include Meghan and their two children throughout.
Harry ultimately travelled to Britain on his own, and just hours before he landed in London, confusion unfolded after an invitation for him to stay at Buckingham Palace was reportedly rescinded.
Meghan later postponed her own arrival and is said to have entered the country discreetly with Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, as security concerns continued to surround the family’s movements.
The exact location of their holiday has not been confirmed, though many believed the family had been staying in Portugal, where the Sussexes are reported to have bought a second home near Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
That speculation was fuelled by one image Meghan shared on Instagram, which showed the exterior of a Portuguese fish restaurant, O Melidense.
Another picture in the carousel has drawn attention because it is believed to show the family at Althorp, the estate where Princess Diana grew up.
In the image, Lilibet can be seen walking along a tree- and hedge-lined path, while Harry and Archie move ahead together, appearing to carry bouquets.

The appearance of flowers has suggested to some that the family were visiting Diana’s burial site, which is on an island in the middle of Oval lake, situated on the Spencer family’s ancestral estate, according to People.
There was some speculation at the time that the family may visit Althorp as the estate’s website reportedly said the property would be closed to the public on July 10 and 11.
In one photo Meghan can be seen laughing with Harry at a dinner table, while in another she is seen walking near the beach with Lilibet.
There was also a shot of Archie walking barefoot in the sunset holding a stick and one of Harry playfully tossing Lilibet through the air while swimming in a pool.

In all the pictures of the children, their face’s were turned away from the camera in a fashion that has become typical for Meghan – a move she has done to protect their privacy.

Among the other snaps were shots of curated dinner tables, a landscape of hills around a lake, and picked lavender stalks.
Following their trip on the continent, Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet enjoyed a private cup of tea with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove.
The visit – which would have been the first time Charles had seen his daughter-in-law and grandchildren since 2022 – was confirmed by Buckingham Palace after the family had left.
Harry and his family are believed to have met the King and Queen for more than an hour.
The visit to Highgrove came after a chaotic back-and-forth about where Prince Harry would stay during his trip.
The King is said to have lost patience when Harry dithered over an offer to stay at Buckingham Palace at the start of his trip.
The Duke initially rejected the accommodation before changing his mind and attempting to accept after the deadline had passed.
Harry’s spokesman subsequently briefed the BBC that he would be staying at the Palace, only for the King’s aides to indicate that he had left it too late.
