Meghan Markle is reportedly gearing up to debut her first adult book in 2026, according to recent reports.

Such news would typically cause concern among the King, Prince William, and the staff at Buckingham Palace.

However, the Royal Family can breathe a sigh of relief, as insiders suggest that Meghan’s upcoming work is not a revealing autobiography.

Instead, she is planning to launch a cookbook, tentatively titled “With Love, Meghan,” which promises to be harmless to Prince Harry’s relatives across the pond.

Her cookbook might feature recipes for her ‘single skillet spaghetti’ and ‘rainbow-themed fruit salad,’ alongside her cherished jams and marmalades.

Additionally, it is expected to include ‘tips and tricks’ for hosting at home, reminiscent of the themes explored in her Netflix series.

The book, said to be pencilled in for the spring, will likely coincide with an expansion of her As Ever brand into a wider range of non-food products such as candles.

The Daily Mail’s insider said: ‘Meghan is looking at a cookbook for early 2026 and there will be more lifestyle products coming in the spring’.

It came after months of rumours of another Sussex relaunch, dubbed ‘Meghan 3.0’ by experts – and the departure of another two senior aides.

The Duchess of Sussex will widen the As Ever range she sells, especially in candles and homeware, the insider has predicted.

Her wine offering is also expected to expand beyond her bottles of white, rosé and sparkling.

Meghan known for her love of a full-bodied red wine – her former blog The Tig was named after one – with a California cabernet sauvignon rumoured to be in the pipeline.

But she will move away from her crepe and biscuit kits, which were among the first products she produced when her business launched in March 2025, the Daily Mail’s source claimed.

Meghan’s cookbook, likely to include recipes from her With Love, Meghan series plus other favourites she has devised at home, would be her first for adults.

When she moved to the UK after falling in love with Harry, she wrote the foreword for Together: Our Community Cookbook in the wake of the Grenfell fire disaster in London in 2018.

She has also written a children’s book, The Bench.

‘2026 is looking like another big year for her. There will be more wine and definitely more homeware too’, the Mail’s insider said.

‘But she will ease off selling her biscuit and crepe kits’.

Netflix has famously held off selling Meghan’s products in their US stores or pop-ups, despite being a partner in the As Ever business.

The Mail’s source added: ‘They [Netflix] are monitoring the Christmas show to see if it picks up, before they do any proper pop-ups or experiences’.

But while Netflix is yet to release its viewing figures, her Christmas special bombed with the critics.

It was given multiple zero and one star reviews for its ‘numbing content’.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold has also predicted that Meghan will release a book in the coming months.

Writing for AceOdds he said: ‘I believe Meghan will write a book in 2026, however I don’t think it will be the memoir many of her fans are hoping for.

‘While she’s led a really interesting life and has many stories to tell, I don’t think she will want to share them at this point. She’s shared her stories and experience in interviews, however I’m not sure we’ll see a longer, tell-all book.

‘However I think we’ll likely see something that fits with her new lifestyle branding, maybe a cookbook or a written version of her Netflix show sharing tips and tricks’.

He added: ‘I think the Royal Family hope she continues her work in the lifestyle sphere. It’s what she’s passionate about and she’s made a real mark. Plus, it can’t really do much harm – and especially nothing like Harry did with his memoir’.

The Duchess of Sussex used her Christmas episode of With Love, Meghan to share tips with celebrity friends on how to make crackers, as well as wrapping different types of gifts and decorating a tree.

But reviewers in the Daily Mail, Times, Guardian, Telegraph and Independent were left stunned by the 56-minute show – and not in a good way.

Giving ‘With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration’ zero stars out of five, the Daily Mail’s reviewer Annabel Fenwick Elliott said: ‘It’s the syrupy hypocrisy and our hostess’s deep lack of self-awareness that continue to make her and this show so unlikeable’.

Times columnist Hilary Rose wrote that guests ‘queue up to say implausible things, running the gamut from moronic to trite and then emote joy’.

In the Telegraph‘s one-star review from arts and entertainment editor Anita Singh, the episode was labelled ‘quite mad and a little bit sad’.

She cited the appearance of Naomi Osaka as the ‘most awkward section’ of the programme, adding that the tennis star ‘has never met Meghan before and, judging by her expression, won’t be meeting her again soon if she can help it’.

Another one-star review was published by the Independent, whose deputy culture and lifestyle editor Hannah Ewens said the episode is ‘not fun, enjoyable or even aspirational’ and a ‘predictably insipid festive special’.

Should Meghan focus on lifestyle projects or address the controversies surrounding her public image?

Tongues began wagging about a relaunch when after the Sussexes had a quiet summer, Meghan made a string of public appearances in New York with Prince Harry where the couple were handed a Humanitarians of the Year award in October.

The Sussexes were also pictured heading for a lunch with friend and tennis legend Serena Williams in the Big Apple’s Soho House.

Meghan also held a solo meeting with the new editor of American Vogue, Chloe Malle, in a quiet corner of the luxurious Whitby Hotel in Manhattan.

She was also spotted without her husband visiting her friend Gloria Steinem, arguably one of America’s most influential liberal activists and feminists who has been a vocal supporter of Meghan post-Megxit.

And then weeks later the Duchess was the cover star for Harper’s Bazaar, where she was lampooned after she was announced to a room with only one other person in it.

Meghan had already popped up in Paris at the Balenciaga Spring-Summer 2026 show nine days ago where her daring white and black outfits made headlines around the world.

One leading PR guru with clients in the US and UK told the Daily Mail at the time: ‘It’s Meghan 3.0. She’s on manoeuvres and looking for yet another relaunch.’
