Megyn Kelly launches astonishing attack on her old Fox News stablemate

Megyn Kelly has taken a sharp jab at Sean Hannity, her former colleague from Fox News, labeling him a “supplicant to Donald Trump.”

Kelly criticized Hannity’s credibility as she continues her vocal opposition to a potential conflict with Iran. She accuses Fox News figures, including Hannity and Mark Levin, of influencing the president towards such a stance.

In her latest show on Tuesday night, titled ‘Understanding America’s Goals in Iran’, Kelly said she felt the need to ‘just be honest’ about Hannity’s Fox News credentials.

“Hannity is nothing more than a supplicant to Donald Trump; he would never do anything but inflate Trump’s ego,” Kelly stated.

She added, “While we appreciate Trump, we must acknowledge that he can be easily convinced by flattery, making him believe his ideas are exceptional and that he is the indispensable leader we need.”

Meanwhile, Trump has dismissed the critiques from Kelly and Tucker Carlson regarding his approach to Iran, remarking to The Inner Circle on Monday that Kelly “ought to brush up on her history books.”

Despite her past support for Trump, Kelly has distanced herself from his stance on Iran, arguing on her show last week that the U.S. was drawn into the conflict without sufficient cause.

Kelly questioned whether American soldiers were losing their lives ‘for Iran or Israel’ after six US servicemen were killed in the military strikes on Iran over the weekend.

Kelly is not alone among conservatives, with Tucker Carlson also emerging as a staunch anti-war figure.

In an interview with ABC’s Jon Karl last week, Carlson branded Trump’s actions in Iran as ‘absolutely disgusting and evil.’

Carlson has reportedly visited the White House three times in the last month to lobby Trump against attacking Iran.

But Trump said in his interview with The Inner Circle this week that the commentator failed to sway him, dismissing him as he said: ‘[Carlson] can say whatever he wants, it has no impact on me.’

In Kelly’s latest show, she also warned that Trump risks eroding his support among women if he forges ahead with the conflict.

Kelly brought up polling that shows while Republicans are largely in support of Trump’s moves in the Middle East, women were far more likely to be against the war.

‘What you’re seeing now is support falling basically along partisan lines,’ Kelly said.

‘There’s also an interesting poll showing it’s breaking down more severely along gender lines, where a hefty majority of women are against it and men are split almost 50/50, so that’s that’s all very interesting.’

Kelly added: ‘But there is no question that the American people don’t understand why we’re doing it.’

Kelly’s comments come as the war between the United States, Israel and Iran entered its fourth day, with strikes intensifying and retaliation spreading across the region.

On Tuesday, US and Israeli forces sent a barrage of missile and drone fire across Tehran, striking a number of military targets and sending columns of smoke rising over the Iranian capital.

Among the targets was a building connected to the committee responsible for selecting a new supreme leader after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in earlier attacks.

Trump, who had been locked in negotiations with the Iranians for weeks before launching strikes on Friday night, has now signaled that he will continue taking a hard line against the Middle East nation.

Posting to social media on Monday, Trump bragged that Iran’s ‘air defense, air force, navy, and leadership is gone. They want to talk. I said: ‘Too late!”
