On Monday, Melania Trump made a notable appearance at the United Nations headquarters, marking a historic moment as she became the first sitting First Lady to preside over a meeting of the UN Security Council.

At 55, she exuded confidence in a striking dark gray wool suit, believed to be a Dior creation. The ensemble featured a tailored three-button blazer equipped with pockets, paired with a matching pencil skirt that elegantly fell just below her knees.

Melania’s demeanor was serious and focused, with her fitted attire accentuating her figure. She enhanced her look by cinching the blazer at the waist with a black leather belt adorned with a silver buckle.

She completed her outfit with sleek black pointed-toe heels, presumably from Louboutin, and let her hair cascade in soft curls over her shoulders.

Choosing a light pink polish for her nails, she also opted for a more dramatic eye makeup.

Upon her arrival at the U.N. headquarters in New York, the First Lady posed for photographs alongside other leaders, including U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz.

She is set to ’emphasize education’s role in advancing tolerance and world peace,’ per a media release from the First Lady’s office. 

The historic visit comes just two days after her husband unleashed Operation Epic Fury in Iran, killing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and dozens of top Iranian officials on Saturday.

She has yet to comment on her husband, President Donald Trump’s strikes on the Islamic Republic this weekend.

Melania has previously spoken out about the impact of war on children, notably writing a personal ‘peace letter’ to Russian President Vladimir Putin, telling him ‘it is time’ to protect the children of the world during her husband’s peace summit with the Russian leader last August.

‘Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation’s rustic countryside or a magnificent city center,’ she said in the letter.

‘They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger,’ she added, also calling for Putin to ‘single-handedly restore’ the ‘melodic laughter’ of Ukrainian children.

The president and first lady visited the UN last September, where they faced a series of unfortunate events.

The trouble began when they stepped onto an escalator that stopped as soon as they hopped on. A teleprompter also stopped working during Trump’s speech. 

‘All I got from the United Nations was an escalator on the way up that stopped in the middle,’ Trump joked at the time, adding, ‘If the first lady wasn’t in great shape, she would’ve fallen.’

Melania’s muted look comes just a week after she wore a $2,395 metallic silver pair of trousers by Dolce & Gabbana, one of her favorite designers, to the Governors Dinner last Saturday.

The First Lady paired the cigarette-style brocade pants with a long-sleeve, black tie-neck blouse from the same brand, which retails for $2,245.

Melania added sky-high, metallic silver Christian Louboutin heels and large diamond earrings to bring the ensemble together.

The loud pants bitterly divided people; some who deemed them ‘inappropriate’ attire for the black-tie event, which was held in Washington, DC.

An event with a black-tie dress code usually constitutes a floor-length gown for women, according to Vogue.
