During a recent interview, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino shared his thoughts on the unsettling behavior exhibited by his Jersey Shore co-star, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
Ortiz-Magro, 40, appeared to doze off during a group discussion with the Stars on Sirius XM, prompting Sorrentino, 43, to address the incident publicly.
Through an Instagram Stories post on Friday, Sorrentino clarified, “I want to emphasize that I am not accountable for the actions of any fellow cast member.”
He added, “It saddens me to witness Ron, an adult, display such behavior during a press engagement.”
Sorrentino further remarked, “The situation is still unfolding, and while I am not fully aware of what Ron might be facing, it remains distinct from my own journey.”
The Daily Mail has attempted to contact Ortiz-Magro for a statement regarding the viral incident but has yet to receive a response.

For his part, Sorrentino marked 10 years of sobriety in December 2025 and owns several rehab facilities.
He vowed in Friday’s note about his longtime friend: ‘I will help where I can, including through my organization, The Archangel Centers.
‘I reached out to check in and offer my support, and I am still waiting to hear back. If he is willing, I will be there for him. My heart is with anyone who is struggling.’
In closing, he said, ‘I have worked hard to protect my sobriety for nearly 11 years, and I honor that every day while continuing to show up with compassion for others.’
In the April interview promoting Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Ortiz-Magro’s eyes slowly shut and his posture drooped as Deena Nicole Cortese, 39, spoke.
‘While MTV is our home and we are so grateful to them, now it’s time to move on. We’re just kind of finding a place to park at this point,’ she said as fans noticed Ortiz-Magro struggling in the background.
He swayed on his stool as Sorrentino, who was seated next to him, said, ‘I think we’re all very grateful like Deena said. Maybe we’ll follow in the Kardashians’ footsteps as they went from cable to streaming.’

He wrote via Instagram Stories on Friday: ‘I want to be clear that I am not responsible for the actions of any other cast member. At the same time, my heart is heavy seeing what Ron, a grown adult, chose to present during press’

The fan account @HousewivesHub posted the clip on X, writing, ‘Oh Ronnie does not look well… the nodding off.’
Meanwhile, fans speculated about what could be going on with the former MTV personality.
‘Is he on heroin to be nodding out like that?’ one person asked, while another pointed out: ‘Mike is looking healthier, man. He should help him!’
Ortiz-Magro previously halted filming the 2021 Jersey Shore reboot after a domestic violence arrest.
He was ordered to take parenting classes and placed under a three-year protective order from his ex-girlfriend Jenn Harley.
The following year, in 2022, he announced that he was one year sober.
This past March TMZ reported that police were called to his Miami home to help his ex-girlfriend Kirsten ‘peacefully’ remove her belongings.
A rep for the reality star later told the outlet, ‘He was in the process of separating from his long term girlfriend, and it was at his request for her to call the police to ensure that the separation/moving out was peaceful…
‘Because he’s been the recipient of falsehoods in the past, and is in a really good place and didn’t want there to be any unnecessary drama.’
