New UFO files detail non-human bodies and mysterious egg-shaped craft

The Pentagon has published a new set of declassified UFO documents, including a startling eyewitness account that claims the military recovered a crashed spacecraft and the bodies of its occupants.

The report, released on Friday, contains testimony from an unnamed military officer who said he was present during the 1947 Roswell incident and was shown the alleged craft inside a hangar identified as “Building 84.”

The alleged Roswell cover-up remains one of the most famous UFO stories in history. On July 8, 1947, the military initially announced that it had recovered a “flying disc,” but later revised the explanation, saying the debris came from a weather balloon.

The witness is believed to have been Walter Haut, the public information officer at Roswell Army Air Force Base. He reportedly confirmed that US forces had recovered an egg-shaped craft and several dead bodies from a crash site in New Mexico in early July of that year.

“I am convinced that what I personally observed was some type of craft and its crew from outer space,” the witness stated in an affidavit given in 2002 and kept secret by the Pentagon.

According to the account, the wreckage and bodies were moved to a heavily guarded hangar, where the officer was permitted to view the craft. He described it as approximately 12 to 15 feet long, six feet wide and covered in a metallic material.

The craft reportedly had no windows, wings, tail or landing gear. Its unusual metal foil was described as “paper thin yet extremely strong.”

The bodies were reportedly covered by a canvas tarpaulin. The witness said they had unusually large heads and were around the size of a 10-year-old child, standing about four feet tall.

The explosive testimony came from a sealed affidavit signed by the witness on December 26, 2002—more than 55 years after the Roswell incident.

Since the Roswell case emerged, the US government has maintained that no physical evidence proving the existence of UFOs or extraterrestrials has ever been recovered.

The surviving text in the heavily classified Pentagon document closely matches sworn public statements made by Haut, including distinctive details he alone is said to have provided about the aftermath of the Roswell crash.

Haut, who died in 2005, gave the same account to the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell shortly before his death. That statement was notarized in the presence of a museum visitor.

The report released Friday describes a staff meeting held at about 7:30am local time on July 8. Several senior officials attended, although their names were removed from the Pentagon document.

During the meeting, officials discussed a large debris field discovered in Lincoln County, approximately 75 miles northwest of Roswell.

A second site, considered more significant, was located about 40 miles north of the town. It allegedly contained the remains of the egg-shaped craft and the bodies.

“Samples of wreckage were passed around the table. It was unlike any material I had or have ever seen in my life. No one was able to identify the crash debris,” the witness wrote in the document released Friday.

According to the declassified file, the group discussed whether the US military to go public with the news of an alien crash landing on Earth.

One suggested plan was to publicize the ranch debris site northwest of Roswell to divert attention from the more important northern site, since civilians and the media were already involved.

Around 9.30am on July 8, the witness was ordered to write down a press release, dictated by the Roswell base commander, Colonel William Blanchard.

In the statement give to the press, the military revealed they had recovered a flying disc from a ranch northwest of Roswell and that Base intelligence officer Major Jesse Marcel would fly the material to military headquarters in Texas for further study.

Marcel is the officer famously seen in the iconic photograph holding the metallic material which the military later claimed was just a weather balloon.

The declassified report and Haut’s public statements both revealed that he was then personally taken by Blanchard to see the UFO and alien remains which were being stored in a facility known as Building 84, or Hangar P-3.

‘From a distance, I was able to see a couple of bodies under a canvas tarpaulin. Only the heads extended beyond the covering, and I was not able to make out any features,’ Haut stated.

‘The heads did appear larger than normal and the contour of the canvas suggested the size of a ten year old child.’

A temporary morgue was constructed to store the bodies at Roswell, but the declassified file did not reveal what happened to the alleged alien remains after Haut visited Building 84.

The report also revealed that Marcel claimed pieces of the UFO taken to Carswell Army Air Field in Texas were switched for debris from a weather balloon and radar kite while the intelligence officer was in a different room on the base.

‘I would be allowed to make at least one visit to one of the recovery sites during the military cleanup. I would return to the base with some of the wreckage which I would display in my office,’ the witness claimed.

There is no record of what happened the alleged UFO debris Haut claimed to have collected. The US government has never confirmed that debris was recovered or moved to classified facilities for research.

Friday’s release by the Pentagon also included new images of an alleged UFO flying over the western US this year.

According to a report from the FBI made by two special agents, the object was seen around 7.23pm moving over an undisclosed mountain range.

The unnamed agents, apparently working at a secret surveillance station known as ‘Observation Post 6’ spotted the black triangle using a thermal camera as it was coming over the horizon to the west.

‘We estimated the object’s wingspan at approximately nine to 15 feet, its depth at six to nine feet, and its thickness at one to two feet,’ the agents revealed in a statement to the FBI.

The agents compared the triangle to a ‘delta wing drone’ but added that their heat-detecting camera showed the UFO was not hotter in any particular spot which would reveal an engine and did not give off any kind of exhaust trails like a man-made aircraft.

The seventh and newest batch of UFO files also contained several reported of UFO sightings from the 1950s and 1960s throughout this world, including over the US, Canada, Italy, Sweden and Germany.

The new tranche also contained monthly progress reports from a private research company to the Defense Intelligence Agency – the Pentagon’s military intelligence service which studies foreign military technology and possible future threats.

Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) was a subsidiary company set up by Robert Bigelow, the businessman behind Budget Suites of America and Bigelow Aerospace. He has also been known to have a strong personal interest in UFOs and government transparency.

Multiple declassified reports over the last two Pentagon released have revealed that BAASS was given tens of millions of dollars in funding to study futuristic technology.

These projects included creating space-age materials such as metallic glass, a faster-than-light method of travel known as warp drive, the ability to make objects invisible using a cloaking device and the creation of laser weapons for the military.

The document containing the Roswell report were part of a BAASS report that proposed to study advanced aerospace technologies such as UFOs which could represent future threats from foreign countries, looking ahead roughly to 2050.
