Josh Jacobs, a prominent player for the Green Bay Packers, has recently found himself in legal trouble after surrendering to law enforcement in Wisconsin. The running back is entangled in a series of domestic violence accusations that have led to his arrest.
Following a complaint filed on May 23, an investigation was launched, culminating in Jacobs’ arrest. He was formally booked into the Brown County Jail this past Tuesday afternoon, marking a significant development in the case.
The 28-year-old athlete is now facing multiple charges, including battery-domestic abuse, criminal damage to property-domestic abuse, disorderly conduct-domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim. Among these, the charge of strangulation and suffocation stands out as a felony, while the other four are classified as misdemeanors, according to Brown County Jail records.
In response to the unfolding situation, the Packers issued a statement through the NFL Network, acknowledging the incident involving Jacobs. They emphasized that due to the ongoing nature of the legal proceedings, they would refrain from making further comments at this time.
The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department has also weighed in, detailing that officers were dispatched to address a disturbance involving Jacobs early on a Saturday morning, around 8:37 a.m. This statement provides a glimpse into the events leading up to the charges now facing the Packers star.
Meanwhile, the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department released their own statement, revealing on Saturday at approximately 8:37 am, officers were dispatched to a disturbance complaint involving Jacobs.

‘As a result of the investigation, Josh Jacobs was subsequently arrested on May 26, 2026, and booked into the Brown County Jail on the following charges,’ it read.
‘This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time.’
In a statement provided to the NFL Network, Jacobs’ attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, said: ‘Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public. We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.’
The Daily Mail has approached Jacobs’ attorneys for comment.
The NFL are also ‘aware of the report’ and have ‘been in contact with the club’, according to the NFL Network.
The Packers star, who turned 28 in February, has spent two years with the franchise after originally being drafted by the Raiders in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
His contract in Green Bay is set to run for the next two seasons, after signing a four-year deal worth $48million with the franchise in March 2024.

During the 2025 season, Jacobs finished with 234 carries for 929 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns, along with 36 receptions for 282 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
Head coach Matt LaFleur is expected to speak with the media after Wednesday’s open practice, after the Packers opened OTA’s on Tuesday.
Back in February, the Packers star sparked dating rumors with influencer and OnlyFans model Ash Kash, after the pair were seen holding hands in a Snapchat post.
Neither Jacobs nor Kash ever commented on the rumors.
