The heartbreaking news surrounding the tragic death of Kianna Anderson, a former Nickelodeon child star, has left many reeling, especially her grieving father. Anderson, who was known for her roles in beloved shows such as “All That” and “Little Bill,” tragically passed away at the age of 33 after being struck in a hit-and-run incident.

According to reports from the New York Post, the incident occurred just before 7 a.m. on a Friday morning. Anderson was crossing Pitkin Avenue in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood when an unknown driver struck her. The New York Police Department confirmed the details to The Daily Mail, revealing the grim circumstances of her death.

Tragically, the driver fled the scene, leaving Anderson’s body on the street. She was dragged for two blocks, suffering severe trauma. The community and her family are left grappling with the senseless loss.

In the wake of this tragedy, Anthony Underwood, Kianna’s father, expressed his profound grief and anger in a poignant Facebook post. He shared a vivid memory from the Catskills Mountains, where he once saw a fox hit by a car. He recalled, “Another driver pulled over and picked the fox up who was still alive and put it on the side of the road.” This memory led him to wonder if anyone showed his daughter the same compassion, lamenting, “Did anyone show my baby that same compassion, as someone ran her over like roadkill?”

This heart-wrenching comparison underscores the deep pain and helplessness felt by a father mourning his daughter, whose life was abruptly stolen in such an unimaginable way. The search for the driver continues as the community mourns the loss of a talented actress and beloved individual.

‘Another driver pulled over and picked the fox up who was still alive and put it on the side of the road,’ he recalled. ‘All I can think about is did anyone show my baby that same compassion, as someone ran her over like roadkill.’

Anthony concluded: ‘Did anyone try to comfort my baby as she layed dying in the street alone, or did they just stand around with their phones.’

Kianna was pronounced dead Friday when emergency responders arrived at the scene, law enforcement said.

The unidentified driver in the hit-and-run was in a grey vehicle. No arrests have been made, and police are still on the hunt for the suspect.

Video footage from a local laundromat obtained by the New York Daily News showed the driver dragging the victim for over two blocks before her body rolled onto the street.

Several people appeared not to notice the body until a few witnesses reached for their phones.

One of her family members, Anthony Underwood, shared the devastating news of her death on Facebook, writing: ‘Please give me and my family time to process this. Thank you.’

Sparkle Mathis, a local restaurant owner, told the New York Daily News: ‘We, around here, know her as the Disney child star. But the show is actually, I just found out today, Nickelodeon.’

Another man in the neighborhood, who refused to give his name, told the publication that Underwood’s boyfriend informed him of her death.

He said that her boyfriend was cooking breakfast for Underwood when she left in the morning, adding, ‘He was just talking to her and he was begging her to stay inside the house.’

‘I’m very devastated, you know, I see her all the time,’ he added.

‘She always had good spirits, happy, good energy. It was very sad to hear that it was her.’

The former child star got her big break on the infamous Nickelodeon sketch comedy series.

She appeared in All That for seven episodes in 2004 and 2005, according to her IMDB page.

The show produced several stars, including longtime Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson and Amanda Bynes.

Underwood replaced Jamie Lynn Spears on the sketch comedy series for its tenth and last season.

She also appeared in the film The 24 Hour Woman, starring Patti LuPone, and voiced a character in the animated movie Santa Baby!.

The young actress also dabbled in stage production, touring with the musical Hairspray.

Underwood didn’t continue acting as an adult and seemed to be living in New York City at the time of her death.

A resurfaced video on social media appeared to show Underwood being filmed by a New Yorker asking her if she was in All That.

‘The show I am on is All That on Nickelodeon,’ she told the man filming her.

When asked if she was currently living in New York, Underwood responded: ‘Yes, of course.’

The NYPD is actively investigating the hit-and-run crash.
