Nicole Kidman has caught the attention of a wealthy businessman in the wake of her separation from Keith Urban.

The 58-year-old Oscar-winning actress is reportedly being courted by Paul Salem, the 62-year-old Chairman of the Board at MGM Resorts International, as reported by TMZ.

Sources indicate that the prominent American business leader has expressed a clear interest in pursuing a romantic relationship with Kidman.

Although the two share mutual friends and have crossed paths in group settings on two occasions, they have not yet had the opportunity to meet privately, according to multiple insiders. As of now, they are not involved romantically.

Insiders also reveal that Kidman remains single and is not actively seeing anyone at the moment.

Representatives for both Kidman and Salem have been contacted for comments on the situation.

Salem and his ex-wife, Navyn Salem, divorced in 2021, and share four daughters together. 

Salem joined the MGM Board of Directors in 2018 and rose to Chairman in 2020. 

He spent nearly three decades as a top executive at the powerhouse firm Providence Equity, which oversees a staggering $50 billion portfolio. 

Salem is also one of the owners of the Worcester Red Sox. 

He holds a B.A. from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. 

News of Salem’s romantic interest in Kidman comes five months after her shock split from her country crooner ex-husband, 58.

Kidman and Urban separated last September after 19 years of marriage, and later that month she filed for a divorce they finalized in January. 

Kidman and Urban – who share two daughters called Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15 – reached a divorce settlement last month.

News of Salem’s romantic interest in Kidman comes five months after her split from Urban, 58, with whom she shares two daughters; Seen with Urban in 2024 

Court documents obtained by the Daily Mail revealed the couple have agreed to waive all rights to child support and spousal support, with each parent responsible for their own legal fees and expenses.

The divorce decree – which the actress noted that details were hashed out on September 6, before filing the petition – ensures that all property, from household furniture and appliances to vehicles, bank accounts, investments, and personal items, is divided to the mutual satisfaction of both parties, with each keeping what is already in their possession.

Under the parenting plan, Kidman will spend 306 days a year with the children while Urban, 58, will have 59 days, ‘every other weekend.’

Despite both parents having reported monthly incomes ‘in excess of $100,000,’ the court has ordered zero dollars in child support, as agreed by both parties.

The final decree also confirms that all alimony and spousal support claims are permanently waived, and any remaining court costs will be split equally between the former couple.

It’s not confirmed whether the pair had a prenup – though there has been speculation.

Still, the documents suggest that Kidman and Urban hashed out all the details with their attorneys amicably, avoiding any formal discovery or interrogation.

The settlement follows reports that reality had started to sink in for Urban following his divorce from Kidman.

‘He’s got to pay the bills – and divorce lawyers don’t come cheap,’ a source told Woman’s Day magazine of the couple’s settlement.

‘It’s a lonely existence for Keith right now – he’s exhausted, isolated and looking at a future he never imagined,’ the source added. 

Before her marriage to Urban, Kidman was married to Tom Cruise, 63, from 1990 to 2001.

During their decade together, the couple adopted two children: Isabella Jane, born in 1992, and Connor Anthony, born in 1995.

Their marriage ended in divorce after 11 years.
