Nikki Glaser found a very comedian-specific downside to attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s ultra-private July wedding: thanks to the couple’s strict no-phone rule, she left the celebrity-packed celebration with no photos, no videos and, as she joked, “nothing to show” for being there.
The high-profile Swift-Kelce wedding was staged over the Fourth of July weekend at New York City’s legendary Madison Square Garden, where the couple reportedly celebrated with around 1,000 of their closest friends — a guest list filled with major names from sports, music and Hollywood.
In an effort to keep the massive event from turning into a social media spectacle, Swift and Kelce reportedly required attendees to hand over their phones before heading inside, creating a tightly controlled, device-free celebration.
For Glaser, 42, that arrangement proved especially frustrating. The comedian opened up about the experience in newly surfaced audio from her Caesars Palace Las Vegas residency, shared by Entertainment Weekly.
“I was actually inside, and I have nothing to show for it,” Glaser told the audience during her September 4 and 5 performances, poking fun at the surreal nature of attending one of the year’s most talked-about celebrity weddings without a single souvenir snapshot.
She went on to joke that the phone policy pushed her into unfamiliar territory. “Because I had to turn in my phone. I had to turn off my phone, which I had never done before,” she said. “I didn’t even know you could do that.”
With no digital proof that she had witnessed the star-studded Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding firsthand, Glaser admitted she briefly considered taking home a physical keepsake from the lavish reception.
“I got really close to stealing something from it,” she said, explaining her impulse with a punchline: “Because I was like, I want one cool artifact from this.”

The comedian, who recently released her stand-up special, Good Girl, on Hulu, said that she wanted to take the wedding cake topper.
‘I look up at the cake, and on the top tier, where the two little cake toppers are, it’s just Travis. Taylor’s missing,’ she recalled.
‘And I’m like, “Someone already took Taylor, I’m taking Travis.” Like, this is the perfect thing to get,’ she continued.
Glaser joked that she was just two seconds away from putting the Kelce topper in her purse before Tom Cruise ultimately stopped her.
Just moments after Swift and Kelce tied the knot, the couple shared the news that they had officially become husband and wife in blockbuster style, lighting up the iconic music venue with video ads which read ‘JUST&T MARRIED,’ a romantic nod to their shared initials.
Both the bride and groom were dressed in Christian Dior, Swift’s publicist announced after they said their ‘I dos.’
There were no bridesmaids. Instead, Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, acted as her ‘man of honor,’ and Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, was the best man.
Jason’s daughters were the flower girls, tossing petals at Swift’s feet as she made her way down the aisle with a string quartet playing one of her own songs.

‘At this point we are what one month out, it’s been so much fun,’ he told his brother, Jason, on their podcast.
‘It was insane, it was a night I’ll never forget. Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up.
‘From the vows to seeing everyone, and how much fun we had that evening, and hearing that being relived through everyone’s stories of that night. It was just magical man.
‘I wish it could have lasted longer than that, once the drinks got served everyone started moving out.’
Jason, a Philadelphia Eagles legend and ESPN analyst, joked that the stragglers had to be kicked out of the iconic New York arena when they tried to keep the drinks flowing and the party going.
Despite his brother’s quip, Kelce gushed over MSG for providing the newlyweds with a private setting.
