NY Man Arrested Over Alleged Bullet Threat to Jeanine Pirro

A Long Island man has been arrested after federal authorities accused him of making violent online threats against U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, including a claim that he would travel to Washington, D.C., and shoot her.

Daniel Kretsinger, a resident of Hauppauge, New York, allegedly posted two threatening videos on X on June 30, according to a criminal complaint filed this month in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Prosecutors say the posts targeted Pirro and also included a possible threat against President Trump.

In one video, which was posted as a reply to an update from Pirro’s X account, Kretsinger allegedly called her a “lying” and “despicable” person before saying he was “specifically targeting” her when he came to Washington, D.C., and would put “a bullet” between her eyes, according to the complaint.

Kretsinger, who appeared shirtless and visibly angry in the footage, then allegedly added that if Trump continued what he described as “bulls—t,” he “may kill the president too.”

Minutes later, investigators said, Kretsinger posted a second video in which he again threatened to kill the D.C. U.S. attorney.

“I’m gonna come to DC very f—kin soon sweetheart and I’m gonna put a bullet in your f—kin head,” he allegedly said in the second recording, according to the complaint, before directing additional profane insults at Pirro.

Law enforcement officials located Kretsinger and interviewed him on July 9.

During that interview, authorities said, Kretsinger admitted the X account used to post the videos belonged to him and acknowledged that he had previously traveled to Washington, D.C., Florida and Long Island in what he described as efforts to find Pirro.

An arrest warrant for Kretsinger was issued on Aug. 7. He is facing charges of transmitting a threat to injure a person across state lines, a violation of federal law that carries a maximum five-year prison sentence.

“No one should ever be threatened or targeted for violence. Public officials are no exception, and we commend the United States Marshals Service for its swift action,” a spokesperson for Pirro’s office told The Post.

Kretsinger and the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
