One person taken to hospital from shooting near Popeyes on Kings Road

The person was in critical condition, according to the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One person was taken to the hospital from the scene of a shooting near the Popeyes on Kings Road Friday.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed there was a shooting in the area. 

The Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department tells First Coast News they took one patient to the hospital from the scene. They said the patient was in critical condition.

The shooting was not inside the Popeyes, and it was open for business Friday evening.
