The 58-year-old was found with critical injuries in Manangatang, between Swan Hill and Mildura near the border with New South Wales, at about 9.15pm on Wednesday, March 30.

It is believed the man had stab wounds.

The 41-year-old man and the 36-year-old woman are both from West Albury.

No charges have been laid.
