Horrifying video shows water pouring onto the deck after the malfunction on the largest cruise ship in the world.

The incident happened as a passenger was sliding down the Frightening Bolt acrylic slide on the Royal Caribbean liner.

According to one scared guest, the victim’s “leg and back were cut open pretty bad,” Cruise Hive reported.

However, he didn’t fall through the hole.

Passengers all screamed for help and ran toward the chaotic scene to see whether anyone was hurt.

Many of the horrified bystanders all screamed a single three-word phrase at the operators as water gushed down.

“Stop the slide!” said people standing in the crowd.

After the water was finally stopped, a passenger took a picture of the hole that showed the jagged edges left by the shattered plastic.

The man reportedly hurt by the slide is in stable condition, according to the outlet.

The surrounding area of the deck was closed off following the accident.

According to Royal Caribbean’s website, the Frightening Bolt, which is part of the Category 6 Waterpark, is the tallest waterslide at sea.

It’s one of six “record-breaking” slides that are on the ship, the cruise line said.

TRIP CONTINUES

The Icon of the Seas is in the midst of a seven-day trip around the eastern Caribbean and is due to return to Miami on Saturday.

The colossal ship holds 7,600 passengers and is known for its massive waterpark.

Royal Caribbean released a statement mentioning, “Our team administered medical assistance to an adult guest after acrylic glass broke off from a water slide while the guest was on it.”

“The guest is being treated for his injuries. The water slide is closed for the remainder of the sailing pending an investigation.”

The massive cruise ship has seen a string of tragedies in recent weeks.

Two weeks ago, a crew member stabbed his female colleague before jumping overboard to his death.

Days after this, a passenger fell over the edge of an infinity pool while reaching for his sunglasses.

The man didn’t sustain any injuries and was successfully recovered from the sea.
