Outspoken journalist Piers Morgan has expressed concern over what he describes as an escalating “woke culture” in Australia, warning that without intervention, millions could be adversely affected.

In a recent interview, the British commentator criticized Australia for intensifying its focus on virtue signaling. Morgan’s comments come as he promotes his latest book, “Woke is Dead,” where he commends the United States and the UK for beginning to dismantle what he sees as harmful woke agendas.

Morgan remains hopeful about the progress made abroad, telling audiences, “we are over the worst of woke.” He points to a recent UK Supreme Court decision affirming that women are biologically female as evidence of this shift.

Additionally, Morgan highlighted a move in the U.S. under former President Donald Trump that prohibited men from participating in women’s sports, which he views as a positive step in the right direction.

His reasoning is that the UK recently determined that women are biological women in its Supreme Court.

The US also recently banned men from competing in women’s sports under President Donald Trump, which was a good thing, he said.

But Australia has yet to take any such strides in this direction, Mr Morgan warned. 

‘My message to all these Australian bodies that are still doubling down on this bulls**t is “stop”,’ he told the Australian.

In Australia, biological men are still allowed to compete in certain women’s sports which Mr Morgan said constituted blatant ‘virtue signalling’.

‘You know, women didn’t fight a war for 100 years to win rights to equality, to have that vaporised at the altar of virtue signalling. It’s ridiculous,’ he said.

‘There’s nothing equal about what’s happening. It is creating a new inequality. Where if this was drug doping, everyone would say, this is outrageous, stop it.’

In north-west Sydney biological men recently dominated the women’s football competition finals, Mr Morgan noted. 

He claimed that by allowing trans women to compete at any level in female sport, it was a dangerous concept.

It could lead to injuries for women and their rejection from teams, Mr Morgan said. 

If trans women are able to suppress their testosterone to a certain degree they can still compete at elite levels of sport in Australia. 

This threshold is typically below 2.5 nanomoles per litre for a year or two even though it is still double the average testosterone levels of biological women.

Even the International Olympic Committee has found that biological men can retain strength and endurance benefits even after suppressing the hormone.

This is based on recent scientific advice the global body received. 

This advantage biological men have against biological women is ‘obviously the reason we separate sexes in sport’, Mr Morgan said.

Even though the title of his latest book implies the fact that ‘woke is dead’ the controversial British media personality said this might not necessarily be the case. 

‘Wokeism’ as an ideology is alive and well but thankfully the general public is becoming fed up with its hypocrisy, he insisted. 

‘Every time there’s an outbreak of some woke idiocy now, I’m seeing more and more of an immediate backlash and a U-turn… so I do believe we’re over the worst of this,’ he told The Australian. 

A recent example of this pushback noted by Mr Morgan is the fact that Jammie Booker, the World’s Strongest Woman, was recently stripped of her title. 

Organisers of the competition had been unaware to the fact that Ms Booker was born a man and when they found out her title was immediately rescinded within 48 hours.

Morgan said Australia and the rest of the world will consider wokeism to have been ‘nonsense’ within a couple of years 

These kinds of revelations and retaliations would have been impossible two years ago when nobody would have been allowed to criticise it, Mr Morgan claimed. 

Anybody who would have tried might have even lost their jobs as a result, he continued. 

Even with this ‘progress’ the Australian Human Rights Commission, Equality Australia and the Governor-General, Sam Mostyn, still support trans women in women’s sport under certain conditions.

Once Australia ‘wakes up’ in a couple of years, Mr Morgan is convinced its population will look back on this episode as ‘nonsense’.
