Prime Minister Scott Morrison is calling all international backpackers in Australia to travel up north to Queensland.

“There’s going to be lots of tourists coming and the businesses here are going to need you here to be working here as well. And I want to encourage you to make your way north and be back here,” Mr Morrison said.

Mr Morrison said as international borders and markets continue opening up, tourism jobs in Australia, and particularly Queensland, will spike.

“The jobs will be coming back here in Queensland and they will need you to ensure that we can meet the demand that is already on its way.”
