() A car chase involving a vehicle that was speeding over 100 mph ended with a rollover in Missouri.
Video from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office shows the scene, which involved a car chase as officers pursued a suspect who had multiple outstanding warrants.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies first attempted a traffic stop, but the driver sped up and reached speeds that topped 100 mph while weaving through traffic and using the shoulder to pass other cars.
After exiting the interstate, the driver failed to stop at a stop sign, lost control of the vehicle and skidded sideways, almost running into a patrol car. The driver then regained control of the car and got back on the interstate.
Police used spike strips to try to stop the car, but the driver continued, again exiting the interstate, driving through a ditch and turning onto a highway before the driver lost control and rolled multiple times before ending up in a cornfield.
The driver was a 24-year-old man from St. Louis and had minor injuries from the crash. He was taken into custody and taken for medical treatment before being taken to jail.
He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond.
