A 15-year-old girl who went missing earlier this week in South Jersey is in danger, police said Wednesday in an alert.
Brianna Hedgepeth departed her family’s residence in Sicklerville at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Monday, the Gloucester Township police mentioned in a Facebook update. Her family promptly filed a missing report.
Her last known whereabouts were near the neighborhoods of Clementon and Erial around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, cops said.
Brianna is characterized as “a light-skinned Black female, with brown eyes and brown hair,” measuring about 5-foot-3 and weighing roughly 200 pounds. She was last observed wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and matching pants, according to the police statement.
If anyone locates Brianna, they are encouraged to contact 911 or reach out to the Gloucester Township Police Department at 856-228-4500. Alternatively, tips can be submitted online at gtpolice.com/tips.
She is not the only teenage girl to go missing in Sicklerville this year. Layla Sills, 14, was last seen on June 25 in Philadelphia and has not been seen since, as reported by the Philadelphia Police Department. Sicklerville is about 20 miles south of Philadelphia with a population of roughly 45,000.
Last summer, two other teenage girls went missing in the town. Zadia Kharfan, 16, disappeared on August 8, 2024, while Nicolette Marchetti, 17, was last seen on August 17, 2024, as reported.
