KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Kingsport Public Library (KPL) invited local Swifties to celebrate the launch of Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl.

KPL Director Stephanie Griffin said the evening was full of sparkles, crafts, and, of course, new music.

Attendee Caroline O’Connor said the event’s atmosphere was fun, and told News Channel 11 about what the KPL had going on.

“So far, I have really enjoyed it. The little kids are thrilled just to hear the music; they don’t really care about what’s going on. They are simply happy to be here, and you can’t help but love their enthusiasm.”

The library arranged a table with Taylor Swift-themed books, along with bracelets and photo opportunities that included props symbolizing all of Swift’s various eras.
