Queensland has recorded another day of no new local cases today.
“There are no cases in the community, it is excellent news,” Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk confirmed.
“We haven’t had a case infectious in our community now since 5 July.”
Ms Palaszczuk thanked the community and said because of the great results, further restrictions can be lifted from July 16.
“So that means that masks will be required still at airports and on planes, no restrictions on hospitals and aged care, I know how hard this has been for people with loved ones in aged care and in hospital,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
“That is fantastic news.
“Of course, you can have people in your home if you have more than 100 people you need their details.
“Lots of good news for young people out there, you can go dancing again and of course pubs, clubs and cafes will be able to increase the number of customers from one per four square metres to three per four square metres.”
