In a significant escalation, Ukraine launched close to 300 drones targeting Russia overnight, marking one of the largest offensives since the conflict began four years ago.

Among the targets hit was an oil depot in Saratov, a key facility in southwestern Russia that handles nearly 5 million tons of oil annually, according to statements from Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

“Ukraine’s defense forces will continue to target critical enemy infrastructure until the Russian Federation ceases its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the military announced via Telegram.

Both sides were expected to continue talks Sunday as Ukraine seeks to firm up a date for trilateral talks with Russia, whose representatives refused to travel to the US for negotiations, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
