Former WWE star Sable, 58, unrecognizable after tradwife makeunder

After stepping away from the glitz and glamour of WWE in 2004, Sable, the once-celebrated wrestling star, chose to lead a quiet life in the Canadian countryside, embracing the role of a traditional housewife. Yet, this past weekend marked a rare moment as she emerged from her privacy to stand by her husband, Brock Lesnar, during WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

Sable, who graced the cover of Playboy three times, is now 58 and was unexpectedly spotted in a selfie alongside Lesnar and Canadian rapper Tom MacDonald. The photograph revealed a striking transformation; gone was the iconic blonde bombshell, replaced by a more understated look featuring long brown hair and modest clothing.

Tom MacDonald shared the candid snapshot on social media, recounting his chance encounter with WWE icon Lesnar, who was preparing for his retirement match against Oba Femi at the event.

“I ran into Brock Lesnar at my hotel,” MacDonald recounted. “When I offered my hand to thank him for his incredible contributions to professional wrestling, he surprised me by recognizing me. ‘Tom MacDonald! No, thank you for what you do. We listen to you all the time,’ he said.”

This unexpected reunion offered fans a glimpse into the lives of these renowned figures, reminding us of the enduring connections between entertainment worlds and the quiet lives led beyond the public eye.

‘I bumped into Brock Lesnar in my hotel and when I extended my hand to thank him for his contributions to pro wrestling he said “Tom MacDonald! No, thank you for what you do. We listen to you all the time”,’ MacDonald wrote.

‘For 20 minutes we chatted and I got to know what a genuinely cool (and REAL) dude he is,’ he continued.

‘It blows my mind that my music has managed to find the folks who have fallen through the cracks… as well as reached the folks at the tops of the mountains.’

MacDonald is known for his right wing rap hits like Snowflakes, Fake Woke, and The Devil Is A Democrat.

While MacDonald made no mention of Sable in his post, wrestling fans on social media were stunned to see the reclusive wrestler again.

‘Damn, could not recognize her without the blonde hair,’ commented one.

‘Sable looks great! The blonde was iconic but I think this is her natural hair color. It’s good to see her pop up because I know she’s completely anti [social media],’ wrote another.

‘I just don’t understand why Sable isn’t paraded around like the legend that she is,’ added a third.

Sable has only been publicly photographed a handful of times in the last decade.

She was last seen in May 2025 attending a private country music party with Lesnar and some friends.

At the height of her fame in the late ’90s, Sable was the biggest female star in professional wrestling.

She first entered the wrestling business in 1996, serving as the manager to her then real-life husband Marc Mero.

Due to her stunning beauty and scantily-clad outfits, Sable’s popularity exploded to the point that she quickly became more popular than most of the show’s male talent.

Despite her limited wrestling skills, Rena was soon crowned the WWE Women’s Champion and featured as a main draw for many of WWE’s pay-per-view specials.

In 1999, she became the first WWE star to cover Playboy magazine, with her issue becoming the highest-selling issue in Playboy’s history at the time.

She covered the magazine again just a few months later, becoming the first woman to land two Playboy covers in one year.

She then quit WWE and filed a $110 million lawsuit against the company, citing allegations of sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions.

One of the most shocking allegations in the lawsuit was that a male wrestler defecated in her bag as part of a sick prank.

Sean Waltman, better known as X-Pac, later confirmed that he was the culprit behind the gruesome number two.

Sable and WWE settled out of court in 1999 and she eventually returned to the company in 2003, reprising her on-screen character in a series of racy storylines.

She also covered Playboy for a third time in 2004, this time alongside fellow wrestling beauty Torrie Wilson, before eventually leaving WWE for the second and final time a few months later.

Around that time, her then-husband Mero claimed that she started having an affair with WWE superstar Lesnar.

She eventually married Brock in 2006 and the couple welcomed two sons together.

After finding love with Lesnar, Sable ceased almost all of her public appearances and was only ever spotted on rare occasions supporting her husband at the odd UFC event.

Lesnar, who grew up on a dairy farm in South Dakota, moved Sable and their children to a rural farm in Saskatchewan, Canada, back in 2014.

In 2010, he gave a rare interview about his decision to keep his private life out of the public domain.

‘I just don’t put myself out there to the fans and prostitute my private life to everybody,’ he told Yahoo.

‘In today’s day and age, with the internet and cameras and cell phones, I just like being old school and living in the woods and living my life. I came from nothing and at any moment, you can go back to having nothing.’
