Brooke Hogan recently opened up about her decision to remove herself from her late father Hulk Hogan’s will and the regrets that followed. The wrestling icon passed away at 71 in July 2025, with his death attributed to a heart attack.

The 37-year-old media personality – who had an estranged relationship with the former WWE star leading up to his death – got candid about the topic during an appearance on the Hollywood Raw podcast.

In 2023, Brooke chose to exclude herself from her father’s will. She clarified that her regret isn’t financially motivated but stems from being excluded from key decisions and updates regarding her father’s affairs.

“Do I regret that decision? Yes,” she admitted during a podcast interview.

Brooke reflected further, saying, “Stepping away from that will, it’s not about the money for me, since I’ve never been focused on that. It’s more about…”

The podcast host interjected, suggesting, “Not having a say in the decisions being made?”

The host chimed to offer, ‘Not having a seat at the table for decisions being made?’

She replied, ‘Right, like I can’t get autopsy results. And it’s funny, because now people are treating me like I emancipated myself.

‘And I’m like, just because me and him didn’t agree on things and we didn’t talk for a little bit, like, it doesn’t matter if you don’t talk for two years or if you don’t talk for two days.

‘Families have their ins and outs. It doesn’t mean I’m not his daughter. It doesn’t mean I’m not just as important as Nick,’ she said, referring to her brother.

Brooke then said that she feels like she is now ‘treated like I’m an outsider.’

She also explained her reasoning for removing herself from Hogan’s will back in 2023.

‘There were situations that had me so scared. I really took myself off the will because number one, I was actually scared for myself, my family, my safety…’

Hogan’s daughter added that ‘there is not enough money in the world that would matter with what I felt I was facing.

‘There were just too many people that I had solid knowledge of not being good people around my dad. And I tried to tell him. And I felt if I created any more waves that I would be in danger. And that’s the truth.’

Back in September of last year, Brooke also addressed not being included in her late father’s will – where he left behind around $5 million.

‘His decision is no surprise to me,’ the mom-of-two told TMZ at the time.

‘It’s what I asked for, I stand by it with no regrets. My dad knows I’m a hard worker and I have been surviving without his money for a long, long time.’

The sole beneficiary of Hogan’s estate is son Nick. The former pro wrestler welcomed Brooke and Nick, 35, with first wife Linda Claridge.

Brooke further opened up about her regret of taking herself out of her dad’s will while talking to Page Six in an article published on Friday.

‘I think everybody very clearly understands that I was my dad’s protector and I loved him more than anything.’

She added, ‘The reason why I regret it, is because I do not have a place now to get answers.’

Brooke explained how not being able to make decisions in regards to her late father and his legacy has been ‘a nightmare.’

‘I can’t do anything to help my dad after his death, or to find out answers, or to avenge him in any way, shape or form,’ she said.

‘Because the people that I so badly wanted to get away from are now running the show, which is even more of a nightmare.’

She also claimed to Page Six that she is not on speaking terms with her younger brother.

Brooke said that her involvement in decisions would be ‘about doing the right thing and making sure that [Hulk] is represented in the correct ways, and his legacy lives on in the most positive way.

‘So, you know, there’s things I would definitely be doing differently if I were back in that seat.’

Hogan had previously been involved in controversies before his death, such as the former WWE star using racial slurs against Brooke’s ex-boyfriend in leaked audio.

Not long after his death, she paid tribute to her late father in an emotional statement on social media.

‘My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children,’ she wrote. ‘And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments. We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes.

‘I am so grateful that I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens.’

Brooke continued, ‘We shared a quiet, sacred bond, one that could be seen and felt by anyone who witnessed us together.’

She also expressed that a ‘part of my spirit left with him’ after his death, before sharing that he was ‘at peace now.’

‘He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope. Like meeting God was the greatest championship he’d ever have.’

Brooke had also typed, ‘My father and I never “fought.” It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear know or understand…’

And most recently, she took to her Instagram page this week to share a heartbreaking statement about her late father – nine months after his passing.

Brooke uploaded a black-and-white illustration of Hogan holding her in his arms and wrote in the caption: ‘If my love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.’
