Animal influencer Mike Holston found himself in the emergency room following a harrowing skydiving mishap. Known to many as ‘The Real Tarzann,’ Holston took to Instagram on Saturday to inform his followers about his condition, admitting he was in “quite a bit of pain.”

Holston posted a photo from the hospital, where he was seen lying on a gurney, offering a thumbs-up to reassure his audience.

“I’ll be making a full video update on what went wrong,” he explained, adding, “I’m pretty banged up right now, in considerable pain, but just grateful to be alive.”

‘Yesterday I had a Skydiving accident I’ll probably be out for a few weeks!’ he wrote in the caption.

With 16.5 million followers on Instagram, Holston remarked, “I know some of you might want to see me down, but don’t count on it for too long. Enjoy it while you can!”

He further engaged his audience by sharing additional updates through a series of short clips on his Instagram stories.

He also took to his Instagram stories to give additional updates in a series of short clips.

The media influencer had been taken to a small room after arriving to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

Holston was filmed through a window as he laid in bed with a neck brace while his leg was also wrapped up.

In a second reel, he was asked where his pain level was and he positively expressed, ‘Gettin’ there. Getting better.’

He added, ‘I was f***ed up for like three hours. I couldn’t even breathe. My chest was killing me.’

Holston also addressed his fans in another slide and said, ‘What’s up family? Thank God all is well. They didn’t get me off this Earth today, but love you all, happy holidays.

‘Nothing to worry about,’ he further assured. ‘Just another rough day in the office. I love you all. And hopefully we will see you all soon.’

The media personality will often post to his followers to share his encounters with wildlife on social media.

Holston is also active on his YouTube channel where he often uploads videos to 1.3 million followers.

The influencer previously opened up about his perseverance and the importance of not giving up during an appearance on The School Of Greatness podcast with Lewis Howes

‘Go ahead again. Keep going down until you win. That’s the way of life. That’s what people need to understand. You don’t lose!’

He added, ‘And when people lose and they say, “Okay, I lost [and] I’m done”… then you create a cycle of yourself just quitting.

‘But when you finally figure out why you want to win… you can apply that in your spiritual life, your mental life, your financial life, [and in] your relationship – everything just straight winning.’

Back in September of this year, Holston garnered backlash over his encounter with a crocodile during a trip to Australia.

He shared clips to social media at the time – and in one, he jumped out of a boat and chased a freshwater crocodile through ankle-deep water before diving on it. In another he wrestled a young saltwater crocodile on a river bank.

One of the animals managed to bite Holston during the struggle, with the adventurer admitting the reptile ‘got a good piece of my arm’ as blood gushed from a wound on his elbow.

Both crocodiles were later released. The videos were tagged as being filmed at Lockhart River on the Cape York Peninsula.

Wildlife officers and animal welfare groups say Holston’s stunts not only risked his own life but also endangered the crocodiles, breaching strict rules about disturbing protected species.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) lambasted Holston, saying his behavior was ‘incredibly cruel’ and ‘unfathomably stupid.’

The NGO also called for him to be ‘deported and banned from entering Australia again.’

The fallout has led to growing pressure on Australian immigration authorities to review his visa status.

Calls for Holston’s deportation were echoed by other animal rights groups and activists, including Bob Irwin, the father of the late ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin.

The stunt has sparked outrage from wildlife advocates and prompted an official investigation by Queensland authorities.

Cairns-based animal welfare group Community Representation of Crocodiles (CROC) condemned the video, calling the behaviour both harmful and illegal.

Under Queensland law, interfering with crocodiles is a serious offence. Deliberately feeding, disturbing, or handling crocodiles without authorization can result in fines of up to $26,615.

Australians were outraged by the influencer’s behaviour, with many claiming he needed to leave the crocodile alone.

A spokesperson for the Department of Environment had also confirmed to the Courier Mail that an investigation into the incident was underway.
