Disgraceful lies of 'everyday' mom who chased down ICE agents

A mother from Portland, known for her activism, found herself in a tense confrontation after pursuing ICE officers in her electric Ford Mustang, as revealed by the Daily Mail.

Kylie Forslund, 36, reportedly used her $60,000 vehicle to obstruct federal agents during an ICE operation in north Portland last Thursday, even making obscene gestures at the officers during the encounter.

However, once apprehended, Forslund’s defiance quickly shifted to pleading. “Please, give me a warning. I have kids,” she implored the officer who stopped her. “I’m just a mom. I am just a mom.”

A wedding planner from Portland, Forslund has a notable driving record. According to public records acquired by the Mail, she has accumulated five traffic violations since 2012, which include several speeding tickets and a citation for using a mobile phone while driving.

Earlier in June, she drew local media attention for protesting outside Cathedral Coffee after the owner removed Pride flags that had been put up by staff without consent.

Forslund now faces allegations of running a red light and nearly hitting a school bus as she maneuvered through traffic to disrupt ICE activities last week. However, the video footage of the incident cuts off before these alleged actions occur.

In a text message to the Daily Mail, her husband Eric denied the allegations and complained that he and his wife just want to be ‘left alone.’

He added that his wife ‘cares about our community’ — echoing the same excuse Forslund gave officers during the traffic stop.

When approached about Forslund’s record of apparently dangerous driving, Eric rushed to his wife’s defense.

‘So she has a history of driving a little fast. She never had any incidents or accidents, and all her tickets are from traffic cameras doing 10 over – it’s really not a big deal,’ he said.

Forslund and her family live in a $600,000 home in Portland’s quaint Cathedral Park neighborhood along the Willamette River.

She charges up to $10,000 for her services which includes planning ‘weddings, corporate events, and nonprofit galas.’

But Forslund’s activism has left her receiving ‘death threats,’ her husband told the Mail.

In June, the couple protested outside their local coffee shop and accused the owner of being an ‘oppressor’ of the LGBTQ community.

They were seen hanging posters urging customers to boycott Cathedral Coffee after owner Austen Tanner removed pride flags that his employees had hung up.

Tanner told KATU that his restaurant operated with a policy of maintaining neutrality, but claimed employees were free to express themselves through their clothing.

But his explanation was unacceptable to Forslund, who alleged his response was ‘spoken like an oppressor.’

‘There’s no place for that in our community as far as I’m concerned,’ Forslund said of the flags being taken down.

She also took direct aim at Tanner, saying: ‘I have a little bit of background on who he is and what he believes and I just don’t think it lines up with the people who frequent this coffee shop and the people who work at this coffee shop.’

Last Thursday afternoon, federal agents orchestrated a traffic stop in the middle of a multi-lane, two-way road after Forslund allegedly ignored multiple warnings from ICE.

Footage of the incident showed her apparently speeding and  swerving between lanes in rainy weather, as officers pursued her down the street.

When agents finally caught up to her, she tried to drive away – but officials managed to block her in with their vehicles.

‘Please don’t arrest me, please,’ she begged the agent who pulled her over.

The officer ordered Forslund to go home after informing her that her case would be referred to the Homeland Security Investigations unit. He stopped traffic so she could make a u-turn and drive off, presumably towards her nearly $580,000 residence (pictured)

The immigration agent explained that she would not be arrested, but informed her that her case would be referred to the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) unit.

Forslund, who appeared visibly upset as the agent addressed her, asked ‘please give me a warning’ as he asked for her driver’s license.

‘You have placed us in danger,’ the agent told her, before instructing her to place her Mustang in park and turn off the engine.

‘You are almost causing an accident. You are surrounded by federal agents.’

Forslund said she understood, but doubled down on her defense, saying multiple times: ‘I am just worried about my community.’

‘Please don’t,’ she added. ‘I’m just a mom. Please, please, please. I’m just a mom.’

She repeated the phrase ‘I’m just a mom’ over and over again as the officer instructed her to leave the area and go home.

The officer told her to ‘take a deep breath’ and said he would stop traffic for her as she expressed that she was panicked and ‘shaking.’

Forslund is then seen making a U-turn and driving away, presumably towards her nearly $580,000 residence.

ICE Deputy Field Officer Director Julio Hernandez told the Post Millennial that the woman was one of several so-called ‘spotters’ stationed throughout the neighborhood on Thursday.

Spotters use vehicles, whistles and horns to alert illegal immigrants that ICE operations are underway, he explained.

Hernandez alleged that the woman blocked ICE vehicles several times and received multiple warnings before they stepped in.

‘This time, enough was enough,’ he explained. ‘Like [Secretary Noem] said, enough is enough, we’re drawing the line, and that’s what we did now.’

ICE has handed her information over to HSI and the US Attorney’s Office for further consideration. It is unclear if she faces any charges at this time.

The agency noted that the traffic stop did come after officials conducted multiple high-risk arrests of gang-affiliated illegal immigrants in north Portland.

The Daily Mail has approached ICE and Homeland Security for comment.
